Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandHotel is a little worn but that is part of the charm. Location a little far away from the western tourist spots but we hired a motorbike so it was a less than ten minute ride to get to the night market and tourist restaurants.
Helpful front desk staff. Hotel with a lot of character and old school charm. Many Laos ornaments and trinkets giving the hotel a cared for feeling. We took a room with private balcony which was a nice space to relax in the evenings. We ate lunch in the restaurant when we arrived. It was very good.

United KingdomThis hotel is very much Lao style and they’ve worked hard to keep the history of the place. We loved the little attention to detail regarding the history of the property. We found the location ideal as it was walking distance for us to anywhere we wanted to be. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the pool was a great place for a dip after exploring. We thought it was excellent value for money. Considering you are around the corner to a very busy street, when chilling by the pool or in the restaurant you’d think you were in a little peaceful oasis! It can be noisy at night but the hotel provides ear plugs! This place worked for us for sightseeing and catching a breath from our travels.

United KingdomThe location wasn't great, but you can't change that!
The staff were delightful. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. I found the bed very comfortable, but my friend found it very hard. The food was excellent. Sitting dining outside on the verandah overlooking the pool was very relaxing. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed a swim while we were there. The staff helped us to book a driver to our next destination. We really enjoyed our stay at the Chandara.

CanadaWIFI could have been faster.
Charming Old School Hotel, tucked away on a Side Street, extremely helpful front desk and restaurant staff. We were made welcome the moment we entered the hotel with a beverage. From that moment forward they were very accommodating to all our questions. The front desk staff member was so helpful, even venturing to the train station in the evening to pick up an item that was not allowed on the train Luang Prabang. This was incredible and much appreciated.

Excellent room and shower room. Breakfast was great too. Pool was a relief from the heat and staff were excellent. Close to airport (VTE) and a kok kok move terminal close by for travelling around the city.

South KoreaNothing
had such a world-class experience at Chandara Boutique Hotel, starting from the receptionist to the restaurant chef, and the ladies who take care of the cleanliness of the rooms. From day one, they welcomed me with kindness, love, and warmth. When I requested something, such as rescheduling my dates and asking for an extension on my stay, they went above and beyond to fulfill my requests. The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood with restaurants around it. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff for their wonderful treatment and kindness. It was so nice staying there. I wish you all the best..♡♡♡"

RomaniaThin walls apparently being a light structure (wood, bamboo?), that has a very poor phonic insulation. If your neighbor snores and you are still awake then you have a bad start of the night. Furthermore the neighborhood seems to be very active during night (say, after 3 a.m.) which makes the snoring of the neighbor already a minor problem. You may also get lucky though and none of these will happen to you.
Very spacious room, nice swimming pool, cozy and comfy. Breakfast a la carte and dinner good.
