Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandBed was abit lumpy
This was our second stay there and very much enjoyed it. We were upgraded to junior suite which was a lovely touch. The hotel is much smaller and not as busy as a huge hotel chain

New ZealandThe rooms could have been cleaner, for example mold growing on the blinds, surfaces not wiped down for what seemed like a long time and fruit flies lingering around the breakfast station

New ZealandDue to the location being on Queen Street, you could hear pedestrian noise outside which can be quite loud on a Saturday night.
Beautiful room. Lovely decor. Close to Commercial Bay and waterfront where we went for dinner and drinks.

TurkeyI had advised the purpose of my stay was to get some real rest, but I was put in a room next to the main road which was super noisy (not ideal). The gym was underwhelming with very little facilities and no natural light. One of the lights was not working in the bedroom bed head and the in-room menu (on the TV only was nothing exciting, and also not accurate).
The staff were wonderful (particularly the concierge). A super comfy bed & really enjoyed my stay.overall. a good location close to Britomart and Albert Park.

New ZealandA bossy restaurant manager who rather than politely saying the restaurant was closed for a private function. Quizzed us as to whether we were even staying in the property and then dismissed us to the lobby. The check in person was lovely but he was just too rude to have that front of house position.

New ZealandIt is beautifully presented, it was different to most places we have been to, so enjoyed the luxury. The curtains were great and blocked the light, except for the edges and middle, that brought in a lot of the city lights. It didn't bother my husband, and he says I like to sleep in the dark like a vampire, so perhaps it is just me 😅

AustraliaIt was difficult to find where to park the car outside on arrival. On leaving, the lift dangerously closed without warning on my husband while he was trying to get our suitcases in and the safety open failed to work. My husband had to let go of the bags and managed to pull his arm out of the closing lift, narrowly avoiding serious injury. When I relayed this incident to two members of staff in the foyer they failed to take it seriously.
Great location, comfortable and clean room, good food and service in the restaurant, nice hot spa facilities and convenient valet parking service.

New ZealandWe were on the top floor and not accessible by lift. Had to take two flights of stairs which was not ideal after recent surgery. The maintenance on our room was disappointing. The electrical socket out in the bathroom was coming out of the wall. The doorstop on the back of the door had been moved but the original fixing point had not been made good to match the door. The one small window in the room looked as if there was black mould coming through the wallpaper and finally half of the led downlights were not working.
Fable beds are some of them ost comfortable hotel beds I sleep in. Their mattress toppers are phenomenal

New ZealandValet parking costs $60 but we still had to park our car ourselves as concierge didn't do manual. Also found some staff really unprofessional and overstepping boundaries of professional language. Breakfast was very basic for this level hotel.
Great location and a beautiful building and interior. Comfy (but small) beds. Clean.
