The accommodation could possible power up their wifi, because to us it seemed rather slow.

This accommodation is about the closest you can get to a five star hotel, it is superb, the hostess very friendly (though not able to communicate in Spanish or English, she manages well to let you know what she means). We felt very welcome, there was information on hiking walks in the surrounding area, the breakfast-buffet abundant and the hostess went every length to meet our gluten-free wishes, our towels refreshed every single day, lots of parking space for our car, so just about perfect!

The property is wonderful, located in a quiet area on the edge of town. The host was lovely, makes her own cheese and jams both of which are included in the delicious breakfast that's part of your stay - brilliant stay!

Location: The town is about 2km away and you must go by car to a restaurant (no wine for a driver). Or you can call a taxi (a phone is available with phone numbers for the local taxi drivers). Room lighting: not enough to read, but lighting at the terrace is good. And it is more pleasure to sit at the terrace then in the room.

Location: We spent here three nights. It was the best accommodation during our two week travel around Tras as Montes. For us it was a base to visit the central part of the Douro Nature Park. The hotel is located outside the town, with direct access from N221 and close to the IC5, so it could be also a good place for the overnight stop. Great view for the skyline of Mogadouro at the sunset. We could also see the Moonrise from the terrace. Hotel: There are 6 rooms upstairs (but only two are offered to provide more distance and privacy during the covid time). Downstairs there is a large siting/dining room. All the hotel is nicely decorated by Maria Elisa with great care for details. We admired her handmade embroidery and an alembic converted into a table. The hotel is located in a large garden. Room is not very big but functional, a private terrace gives large siting area with a view for mountains, the garden, the town skyline at sunset, moon rise and stars. electric sockets – easily available, however you must disconnect the lamp to charge your phone near the bed. Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: small but very functional, large and comfortable shower cabin. Breakfast: incredible. Large selection of taste food including local specialties, homemade cake and jam, fresh bread and omelets or scrambled eggs, fresh juice. And something different each day. We were also offered food to prepare sandwiches for our hiking, as well as a large bottle of frozen water – really nice with temperatures about 30°C. WiFi: good and fast. Staff: Maria Elisa was incredible. At the check-in she gave us maps and directions about what to see and where to eat. Then she cared about us all the time. The service was really 5 star. Parking: at the property.

What is not to like?! From the moment we arrive until we left, everything was done to make us feel at home. The host is a sweet and warm lady, clearly welcoming guest at her home by pleasure. The breakfast is superb.
