Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungarySuch a shame we couldnt say goodbye to the host, because our early departure. We did not find him. Keep up the good work regardless!
Great Location, price to value ratio, silent and calm atmosphere, comfy beds, grocery shop downstairs (with limited opening hours in the weekends), very nice view from the balkony and helpful staff. Koliba Tatry, the restaurant recommended by the host was pretty good, with fast service and decent meals, however the servers seemed pretty stolid. They did not seem to enjoy what they were doing in a pretty spectacular way.

NetherlandsThe current host is terribly unpredictable and aggressive, one moment he acts fine and courteous, the other he is stressed out and agressive towards customers. At reception the host acted cold but courteous and attentive best he could, despite only speaking Slovak and Hungarian and very limited, broken English. He named a few good spot to eat and said quiet time is 22.00 - 06.00. The second day we got back hungry, unexpectedly late from a hike around 2130, as most restaurants close at 2200 I went to bake a few pancakes as quickly as I could, as I didn't understand or read from the host cooking was not allowed close to quiet time. When it got 22.00 I went super stealth mode, not even making a sound, despite that no customer rooms are near the kitchen. At 22.03 as I was baking the last pancakes the host (who is not the owner of the pension) stormed into the kitchen being very frustrated and told me in intimidating manner: "quiet time no cook!!" I was very respectful and calm and tried to explain in English how I didn't know it was not allowed to cook during quiet time and that I would clean up now. The guy exploded and agressively screamed (during quiet time); "This no hotel you want cook at night pay 200 euro night for hotel not here", then he proceeded with this way of speaking to me in a language I did not understand. He physically pushed me out of the doorway we were standing in to close the door after he said with a threatening "tone 5 minutes!!"(I think he meant this was the time I had to clean and be gone). I didnt have the budget to go elsewhere so I just complied without protest after he did this to me. I rushed to quickly handwash all the dishes and already threw away the remaining batter when he came back in and said "ok ok cook but quiet". Probably because he understood he very much crossed a line verbally and physically. I didnt have the money to go elsewhere so I just complied.
The appartement is well situated, 3 min walk from the train station. Kitchen is fairly equiped. A supermarket is literally at the next door. And the rooms are cozy, they got a balcony and some rooms have view on the mountains.
