Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The breakfast was very good. Pool was ok. Sunbeds by the sea perfect. Beds vere okay, but only one bed sheet. Sometimes cold in night.

United KingdomThe advertised "Deluxe" room was not deluxe and other areas are not as advertised. We arrived to find a broken lamp, lights not working, the poorly lit bathroom had mold and ingrained dirt in and around shower and the window was very hard to open and close, so left closed. Room wasn't cleaned or linen changed automatically, so asked for cleaning and linen change every 3-4 days. Only 1 tiny cheap plastic bin to put all rubbish including the requested used toilet paper. So often emptied this bin myself. Towels and sheets were clean, but old and well used. Marks on walls, curtains, outside patio door handle was missing and the room was generally very tired looking, well used and in need of refurbishment. Reported the broken lamp, mold and lack of lighting twice. Lamp was removed, but not replaced and new light bulbs installed. A kettle would also be expected in a deluxe room. In the hotel restaurant one evening we asked for a coffee and was told " No, we only serve cold drinks after dark". If you are a light sleeper, you will hear music from the bars and guests outside. We spoke to other guests staying at the hotel and they were of the same opinion about the quality of the rooms and hotel. It seemed the management were more interested in the restaurant (which is open to the public ) than the hotel.
Location is great. Situated next to the beach, room next to the pool or seaview, 10 minute walk from the old town of Side. The pool, sun beds were of an acceptable standard. Housekeeping staff were accommodating when asked to change linen or clean room. The Aircon worked. Standard Turkish Breakfast was fine although only melon offered, no other fruit. Received good service from the member of staff on beach duty.

FinlandThe housekeeping was very bad this year comparing to previous years. Earlier they did clean up the room almost every day and got clean towels, but now only 2 times in 2 weeks and had to ask for the cleaning and clean towels.
The best thing about this hotel is location, have been several times already. House band on the restaurant by the night is just great, good players and good music.

United KingdomAfter checking in, we found hairs on fresh towels and pillows. Towels are old and need replacing. Bathroom was a little run down. Toilet was clean but the sink and shelf we had to clean ourselves before we used it on the first day. Shower with hot water available but the plastic shower doors had cracks and holes. We were only there for 3 nights so we didn't make a big issue of this. Overall, it was ok.
Great location- beachfront with amazing balcony views of sea and sunsets. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby with late night entertainment available too. Around 15 mins walk along the promenade to the main Side market. Bedroom was spacious and generally clean, good air con. We enjoyed listening to the sea waves at night. Breakfast was included- prepared by staff and served at the table. There is no lift but staff are helpful, they carried our luggage on check in/check out.

FinlandEarlier the service to pool was much better. I hope next time I get the room I booked directly, not after 2 nights, not nice to have to change the room.
Breakfast was good and served to table, maybe too much food for me, but others could appreciate. The poolside is very good and location of the hotel could not be better. The house band on the restaurant is superb.

United KingdomThe Side Beach Hotel was right on the beach. You can fall asleep listening to the waves! There's a restaurant right next to the hotel (part of the hotel). I'd also recommend Cellos restaurant in the street behind.

United KingdomWe had booked a deluxe sea view room but on arrival were given a shed on the side of property, dirty and broken fittings, hole in wall and looking out at a wall. Manager demanded €175 to “upgrade”. Phoned booking.com who promptly told him to give us the room we had paid for. Although adequate this was not deluxe, particularly shower was old and mouldy and there was a hole in the wall.
The hotel is in a great position near town, beach and restaurants. Turkish breakfast but this is plentiful and fresh. Staff are mostly friendly

TurkeyHere we go right. No help with luggage going up the stairs to apartment and we had two older ladies with us who struggled. No kettles in room which I did ask before booking and they told us yes. Very bad. Did get to borrow a kettle tho. Bathroom not dirty but wires showing on hair drying in wall silicone all over shower until gone black. (Typical Turkish) shower screen cracked. Also trouble trying to lock the door every time I think lock had seen better days. Friends in next room had falling plaster from around door frame everytime they closed door. Was never swept up in 4 days. Finally no fresh towels on day before we were leaving in both room.
Great views . Breakfast was good Turkish style no problem for us and the pool smaller than it looked but great to cool off on a hot day.

NorwayRoom standard is very low and does not match the pictures. Poor wifi, air condition, maintenance, and room cleaning. Uncomfortable beds. We did not always get the discount at the restaurant.
The room standard is simple to low, the exterior with the restaurant and pool is nice, and the location is excellent, right on the beach and very central. Beach promenade in front goes along the beach to the right and goes straight into old town with impressive ancient ruins on the left. Hotel guests are supposed to get a discount at the hotel restaurant, but we didn’t always get this. Favori (“favorite”), one of the restaurants next door, serves affordable and tasty food, and is popular among Scandinavians. Side is about an hour from Antalya airport with airport transfer, we used Bizim.

United KingdomSo the only plus of this hotel is the beach you step out of your room and 1 minute you are on the beach. Apart from that, whoever their photographer is does a really good job of not showing how rubbbish and broken the rooms are. We paid for apparently a delux balcony room. Yes, we had a balcony that you would never be able to sit on because its south facing and like an oven all day. The bathroom floor always get covered in water from the shower base when you have a shower, as the sealant around shower is poor. Half the electrical points dont work we had to share 1 bedside point for all our electricals and as usual abroad you try and plug a travel adapter, and they put the light switch so close to the point the adapter knocks the light on easily. The rooms don't get cleaned daily. They change your towels every 3/4 days if you are lucky and only empty bin in the toilet and add new toilet roll. They dont sweep or mop your room so if go to beach and have a shower you end up with dirty feet again after. The breakfast is continental consisting of the same everyday boiled eggs, cucumber, cheese, olives bread, jams and butter. They change an accompanying plate you get also every day, 1 day potaotes, then a bland plain omelette, and then chopped franfurters with onions and then repeat. For the amount of guests, i dont see why they can't cook breakfast to order its not hard either food is being wasted or re-used. Big hotels do buffet breakfast this would be better here. The restaurant was nothing special, but neither were any of the restaurtants around. Ive been to Turkey many times mainly on the Alanya side, and i found here in Side the food is overpriced and not very tasty. The best restaurant is the kebab fast food Hill park food 10 minutes walk fresh tasty and reasonable price.
The beach was 1 mintue from the room

United KingdomHotel restaurant is great but their prices doubled or tripled overnight. It's now the most expensive restaurant we have seen in Turkey. For example 2 meals and 2 cocktails costed 50 euros on Thursday. On Friday only one of the meal was 56 euro. Crazy change of price but food is good and staff are nice.
Really good location, nice staff, cleaning lady does a very good job. Pool is great and private. Beach very close and nice view.

United KingdomI have been going there for 4 years now and every time I have to have a room below what I paid for, and am moved the next day to that which I did pay for. This is really frustrating and prevents you relaxing from the first day.
The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is set right on the strip in front of the beach and has its own lovely pool area. The rooms have recently been refurbished to an excellent standard and the views are absolutely amazing. The staff are always so friendly and helpful.
