Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I thought it would be more luxurious as it was a Marriott, but it was more like a business hotel.

Happy to have restaurants on site, especially for stays between flights. Service was great from check-in to meals to dealing with unexpected issues.

Room was good, and the bed was comfortable. The bed side lights are on a sensor and timer, which I found great, if you fall asleep with the lights on. But waking up in the middle of the night and getting out of bed, activates the sensors and turns the lights on, almost in a blinding manner. But not a minus for me. However, I woke up with bites on my legs, and I mentioned it at check out, purely for awareness and for the next guests. A supervisor was called straight away and apologies were presented as well as a % removed from the room cost. This was unexpected, but appreciated.

The main reason that I booked this hotel was for the option to pay about $15 extra for valet service to a safe parking garage which I paid. What happened instead was that the valet parked my car outside which I could have done by paying less. Very misleading on purpose I sense, especially after two phone calls to confirm. The area is safe anyway so no need for the garage which is reserved for air travelers anyway they said after I complained. My other issue is the fact that they only provide breakfast for a fee. Not impressed. Doing laundry involves getting lucky to have a guest before you warn about which of the four machines “wash” without water. (Avoid the middle-right machine.) All hotels and motels can afford eight to ten machines and driers like mid-grade apartment complexes, no? But few offer this helpful service and too few guests call them out on this void in their reviews. Laundry is in non-denoted basement next to gym and pool entrance which they call the first floor as I recall with the first floor lobby being the non-denoted second floor. Again, poor general communication that can be easily corrected with mindfulness. Room a bit on the small side for three travelers.
Best price in the city for a safe hotel within reasonable drive time to Hollywood. Interesting location between two of the busiest runways in the world - seeing without hearing many cool planes from room. Nice beds and total room experience. Always curious about this tall/thin hotel from the air during past landings at LAX over the years. Pool and hot tub available in winter!

The hotel shuttle service and the stops are not clearly marked at the airport terminal and it is very confusing for people such as us arriving from overseas. We had to ask locals. Clearer signposting for hotel shuttles is needed.
Airport hotel with regular shuttle service to the terminal. Has a nice pool and the room we had was spacious. Very happy with the late check-out also which allowed us to relax while we waited for the long flight home. Hotel has its own Starbucks, a nice social bar and reasonably priced breakfast and pub meals.
