Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CyprusFor this price I would expect slippers in the room and breakfast included.
There is a lot of space in the room. The hotel is located right in the centre, but on a quiet street.

AustraliaSome staff were rude. We upgraded for a balcony but the door had a lock on the bottom. When I asked about this at Reception they said they knew about it and it was broken. They offered to remove the Tourist or whatever taxes they charge as a reduction but this was never received. Room was stuffy as we could not open the door.

The location was ideal, 5 min walk to my office but bang on top of local bars and market place. Rooms basic but ok for a few days. Liked the free bottles of water by reception.

United StatesRoom was large and comfortable but a bit noisy (end of hall room) due to street noise. No housekeeping day 2 so, no new towels and no coffee for next morning. Check-in was odd…young lady asked for ID, it was explained that ID was in luggage being held as checkin was not possible earlier…finally took credit card and processed check-in, she ran off to “get” the luggage but didn’t say if we should wait or go to our room ? then upon her return, no information offered like, elevator location, WiFi, ice machine location…overheard gentleman telling another couple who was checking in…just awkward
Location is fantastic

United StatesVery outdated, the outlets in the bathroom and vanity area didn’t work in my room and the shower barely had hot water. Bedding also wasn’t very comfortable, I like a down comforter but maybe that is personal preference.
Location is right near Quincy market and walking distance to TD Garden + other popular areas.

United StatesThe loud music from Quincy Market continued past 1am, and the street below got noisy early cleaners, cop car sirens, horn honking, and sometimes people yelling. So we needed to bring ear plugs. There was a small refrigerator in the room, but it was completely packed with sensors that would charge your room if anything got moved. We could purchase a fridge for $20 for our stay but with so many food options across the street, I think they could skip the mini bar and just give every one refrigerator instead which would have been more convenient.
The location was perfect, right across from Quincy Market and Fanneil Hall. It was one of the better priced options for the city when I booked as well. The restaurant downstairs served $5 Sam Adams pints during the weekday which was convenient and close. Better prices than across the street. The beds were quite comfortable and the rooms were large.

United StatesLike others: - I knew what I was signing up for with the destination fee, and agree with others that a higher rate from the outset that includes what they're going to charge you anyway would just feel better - Also like others, I agree the showers need more attention. This is such an easy fix that I'm confused that the Millenium group hasn't just invested in a bare-minimum improvement that would make an exponential difference. - The reason I upgraded was because I paid for early check-in but my room wasn't ready. I was fine with that and appreciated the nicer room, but I'm sure a lot of people would be surprised and maybe a little upset to pay $50 only to find out the room isn't ready. The Bostonian has a lot of promise, but seems to adhere to the "tourist trap" values of its location. I was satisfied with my stay, for what it's worth.
Overall I would stay here again. I picked this spot after a lot of research and it's exactly as others say, so there were no surprises for me. It's perfectly in between, a nice hotel with motel features, or visa-versa. Overall if you're prepared to budget for extras, I would recommend it. Otherwise, the rate will feel "too good to be true" and might dampen your trip. I'm not really sure why The Bostonian depends on additional fees, because I think they could be a great hotel with dedicated guests if they just included all the things you'd want for the higher rate you're going to pay anyway. - Staff was straightforward and accommodating - The server/bartender/host at the attached restaurant is amazing. He needs more support, because he is truly being asked to do too much alone, yet still doing it with grace and talent. - I was able to upgrade to a nicer room when checking in - Very quiet room, with a very comfortable bed - Junior suite had a lot of space, the balcony was cute - Central location for anyone visiting for tourism
