Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFor the price of the room I expected this hotel to be a bit classier. We had room service that we put outside our door and in the morning it was still there (a critter had moved it around); they just didn’t seem to have enough staff overall. We couldn’t find any place where you can walk down to bottom to see rocks and sand at sea level (it could just be too dangerous). I was also quite surprised that the cost of a pet per night (and mine is small) is $150. I mentioned I would be bringing a dog and they didn't mention the price. I assumed it would be the typical $50 or so that I have experienced at other hotels. I was surprised they didn't mention the cost - I could have left my pooch at home as well.
The ocean view (make sure you have this type of room if you want this) was an incredible panoramic view of the ocean, cliffs. rocks, and waves.

United StatesPlease please please please take care of the corner of the wooden bed frame - people hit it accidentally all the time because the mattress corner stops earlier than the wooden bed frame. You won't have hard time finding it, it looks worn off of as probably so many people hit it with their legs across years. Just cut it off and it will stop a small detail messing with the legendary stay.
Brilliant design and architecture, incredible attention to detail.

United StatesFor the price I expected a lot. This place is in the middle of nowhere. A couple hundred more dollars we could have stayed at The Ritz, and I wish we had done. We arrived at 3:15 and our room was not ready, but they do say check in is 4, so we waited and had a drink in the cozy lodge area (which is probably why they don't give you your room key early - $30 for two drinks) also, it was windy and freezing outside (June). We paid for a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean $$$$. The room was awkward, long and thin and nothing special (except the view). There was an ugly fireplace but you couldn't see it from the bed, so there was no way to relax and enjoy the fire. There was no coffee maker in the room (disturbing!!), instead there was a hot water kettle and coffee bags, which I guess were like tea bags type thing but coffee? I don't know, we didn't drink them. However, they did have all types of expensive espresso coffee drinks in the bar, which is probably the goal to have you buy coffee. The resort verbiage says "luxury" towels and robes in rooms. Um, no. One towel had rips but was repaired and the robes were old, mismatched, one was long and said Timber Cover, the other robe was short and had no emblem. Not nice at all. In the morning they offered complimentary "coffee & pastries" in the cozy lodge from 6-8am. We went to this, there was a beautiful, giant fire blazing away in the very huge, stone fireplace. No one was around, we were alone. On the far corner of the bar sat quietly a thermos filled with brewed coffee, which was really yummy, and next to that was a small plate of unimpressive, small muffins. I wanted these muffins to be amazing, but they weren't. They appeared to be store bought, like from a package at Safeway. The kind that have all sorts of preservatives so they last a long time on the shelf.
I enjoyed the escape with my partner whose birthday it was. I mentioned it was a birthday so they put a note with two cookies in our room. That was nice. The resort offers complementary champs at the bar before 5. I made a mistake and thought the champagne started AT 5...so when we arrived at 5:15 we were told we were too late to have a free glass. But then! The hostess stepped in (she must have felt sorry for us and our sad faces) and offered us any complementary drink we wanted from the bar. I thought that was a class act by her. Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious (I had the pork chop!).

United StatesI arrived just a few minutes before 4 pm and the room wasn't ready. Had to wait 10 min. Then I got into the room and there was water on the bathroom floor and a cleaning bottle. I got a cleaner to come in and he reported that he had dropped the bottle but forgot to clean it up. Then later I wanted to watch TV but there was no remote. I called the front desk and one was sent up. Finally my room (#54) must be directly above a storage closet because I kept hearing banging loudly like someone was moving furniture. It was very annoying. It did stop over night but started up at 7:30 AM! I came to rest and didn't get much. I probably won't be back.
Food at the restaurant was good and the service staff was great.

Amazing location. Secluded. Quiet. Felt like a million miles away from San Francisco. Boutique, hip place. Mid century modern feel. Great little details like record players in the room, lots of games to play, and free s’mores by a fire pit. Staff were super friendly.
