The architecture of the building with the wide windows into Nature and the wood stove inside is wonderful. The host is very helpful, he even played guitar with another guest and entertained us nicely. The homemade breakfast is terrific and made on time to your specified time without a wait. It's a very personal experience, much nicer than staying at the nearby Shin Prince Hotel which costs a lot more (but is located right at the slopes).

Just a 1-minute walk from Kita-no-Mine Gondola Station at Furano Ski Resort, Chalet Fuyuri offers apartment-style accommodations with a living room and kitchen. We loved the proximity of the slopes We hired three of the 5 chalets, all had their own entrances and so were great for 3 groups of 4 people. The sitting room area meant all 12 of us could meet and eat together. Would highly recommend if skiing in Furano. To get to the main supermarkets in Furano you need a car. We managed perfectly by hiring one car and most of the group getting the airport shuttle which stops fairly close by

This place is very cute and cozy, everything is very nicely organized and clean. But I must point out how nice the hosts are! Jimmy was very helpful, friendly and welcoming, he gave us some good tips a well. His lovely wife was baking bread every morning for breakfast. We are very happy with Pension Ashitaya.

We were late coming in from the airport, and the staff stayed back till 8pm to wait for us, much appreciated! The apartment was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Comes with a big (common) drying room downstairs for ski gear. Our apartment faced the ski slopes, and it was amazing to wake each day to the beautiful white snow. Note: it will be much more convenient to drive, rather than rely on public transport.
