The hotel was just perfect for us, as we were doing the bike trip which started directly at the hotel. Breakfast and Dinner were superb. The service especially for the Backpacks were amazing.

Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! I thought this would be just a nice sleepover place and nothing more but it is so beautiful and has a very unique traditional feel that it made our stay on the island so much better. You even get free breakfast/dinner if you don't have time to eat outside and depart early in the morning/ don't manage to fetch a table in a reataurant in the evening because there is limited amount of restaurants that are open in late evening or early morning. The whole house is very authentic and the family that runs the place also offers a little souvenir shop with super cheap prices of local souvenirs, some even locally handmade. Thr staff is super nice and the xommom areas welcoming to spend the evenings in game/living room. Also had beautiful garden and amazing views from the rooms right on the sea

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. Fantastic experience! Really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room nice with a view. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Nice Onsen.

Offering sea views, Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is an accommodation set in Onomichi, 70 metres from Senkoji Temple and 700 metres from Onomichi History Museum. With a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Staying here was a definite highlight of our trip! The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful - full of history and in the most incredible location right underneath Senko-ji temple. I would recommend staying AT LEAST 2 nights - 1 night is definitely not enough to soak it all in. Sitting in the cafe overlooking the city was an absolute dream. The cafe is open to the public but is also a space where guests can eat and drink their own food which felt really nice and cosy. The walls of the rooms are basically decorative so you really can hear all the other guests staying, but I was pleasantly surprised at how considerate all the other guests were of noise and everyone was so quiet after 9pm. I could not recommend this guesthouse highly enough!

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. The host is beyond welcoming, such a lovely person. Answered all my questions with a smile.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. Great location , close to town and the red Tori. Spacious comfortable room, view of the forest in the back, nice building with a restaurant downstairs with excellent food. Great breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. You can leave your bags if needed. We walked from the ferry, 20-30 mns. Great bath/tubs. Everything works well.

Multiple large baths, including an outdoor bath with a slight cool breeze and view / sound of the river beside it. -The tatami mats set up and cleaned up in the evening / morning -The shuttle was available at our disposal.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. While looking for a highly rated hotel in the area, we came across ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA and decided it would be the perfect place to celebrate her birthday, and secretly, I was planning to propose to her on that special day. I initially reached out to the hotel just to ask if they offered any simple in-room proposal decorations. To my surprise, Haruka and Yuriko responded with so much enthusiasm and so many thoughtful ideas — from how to hide the ring box, to when they could prepare the room while we were out, to setting up a beautiful arrangement. On top of all that, they even upgraded our room as a surprise. It was all far more than I ever expected. A huge thank you to Haruka, Yuriko, and everyone at ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA. Your kindness, genuine warmth, and incredible attention to detail made this such an unforgettable experience for us. We’ll always remember how you helped us on one of the most important days of our lives — and we absolutely plan to come back. As for the hotel itself: the location couldn’t be better, just a short walk from Itsukushima Shrine. It means you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views both early in the morning and later at night. Our room was elegantly designed, with top-quality amenities and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. And the meals — dinner and breakfast — were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. This is the most memorable and enjoyable hotel stay I’ve ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA to anyone looking for a truly special, relaxing experience in Miyajima.
