Featuring relaxing ambience, each room comes with a seating area, a fridge and a flat-screen TV. Bathroom is shared with other guests.

During your stay at Kurokawa Onsen Oku-no-Yu, you can relax in the large mixed-gender open-air baths, such as the cave bath and the river bath. Please note that you cannot wear swimsuits in the mixed-gender open-air baths. Drinks vending machines are also available on site. Service was flawless, the food was perfect, and the baths were great. My room was good for my needs, it was quiet, and the waterfall and rivers outside was a great source of white noise. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay!

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site.

Guests can relax in the hot spring bath at the property. There is also a public bath that can be reserved for private use. Cannot recommend this ryokan enough. Amazing service, clean rooms, and one of the best service from the staff in my experience (all were exceptionally friendly and helpful). Great attention to detail as well (left our shoes by the heater so when we checked out our feet were nice and warm). The food is also another highlight. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. If you’re not a fan of horse sashimi, do not worry, the taste is not strong. Light enough for you to try something new and finish the portion. Onsens were also great. I love how they swap female and male baths depending on the time of day so you can try all they have to offer. There’s also two private baths as well for couples who want to go together. Place is also tattoo friendly (my husband had on his shoulder but it was not brought up). Thanks for an amazing stay!

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. It also features a lounge with complimentary coffee and WiFi, a terrace and a garden. Free parking is available. After seeing the village, we felt very content about getting one of the best and cosy ryokans, the mossy forest was a highlight for us and the baths were beautiful. The staff offered to pick and drop us off at the bus stop and greeted us at the door, very friendly and polite. ♡ The food was also great too, i am still wondering how the chef got even a subtle piece of watermelon to taste so good, impressive.

Some rooms are fitted with traditional futon bedding, while others have Western beds. A TV and a fridge are included. Loved my japanese style room, which was huge and had river and bamboo forest view. The staff was very friendly and even offered me a ride for the next day to the bus stop and the meals were just so delicious. Felt very relaxed after my stay!

Free Wi-Fi is provided in the lobby, and spacious public baths are available. Modern Kumamoto cuisine prepared with local ingredients is offered. We were blown away by this wonderful accommodation and staff. The team who looked after us were the warmest, most helpful people and the ryokan itself was simply stunning. Having our own private Onsen was amazing and the tatami room was very stylish . Dinner and breakfast were delicious too - we can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Kumamoto Hotel Castle is a 7-minute walk from the famous Kumamoto Castle. It features 4 restaurants and modern guest rooms with free WiFi.

The hotel is situated a 10-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. To reach the Suizenji Park, take a 15-minute tram ride from Toricho Suji Station or alternatively take a 10-minute taxi ride. The hotel is in a great location, close to the main shopping malls and quickly reachable from the Kumamoto station. The hotel staff was very helpful, spoke excellent English and were very welcoming. We shipped our luggage from one hotel to another and usually we have to fill in the paperwork ourselves but they did it for us and we’re very gentle with the suitcases- little details make such a difference! Their inside restaurant and bar are also worth a try.
