Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Of all the places we stayed during out three week Japan trip, this was my favourite by far. I loved everything about it. From the fresh local produce for breakfast to the beautiful, comfy rooms. Highly recommend staying here 😁

There’s simply no words good enough to describe a little hidden gem like Raicho. Everything was perfect here. All the staffs speak perfect English and they would drive you from the bus station or to the dinner place whenever they are available. In Winter they are the only party that operates kamikochi tours which on a sunny day is a once in a life time experience. The outdoor onsen is amazing in the snow (dont get scared off from the cold). The fireplace is beyond amazing and all the people staying there are friendly, dormitory are surprisingly quiet at night and the beds are so comfy and warm. It almost felt like we were in Switzerland or something. Ten of of ten experience.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. Location is superb. The shuttle was really helpful. The service is impeccable. Breakfast was amazing.

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. What a beautiful little stay! I can’t tell you how lovely the owners were, nothing was too much to ask. They picked us up from station and dropped us back the next day. They also went above and beyond our expectations and picked us up after our dinner and Onsen at 9.30pm at night. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book this bed and breakfast you won’t be disappointed.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Great place as advertised with family service. The breakfast is excellent. Quiet. Bus stop next to the accommodation: quite convenient to reach Shiga Kogen ski slopes. We hope to come back again!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. We loved everything. Stayed with my friend just for one night, it was amazing. We had dinner included. It was one of the best dinner i had in japan . Onsen inside was a bit too hot for me. But outside was just perfect. Thank you so much for such a welcoming experience.

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... Private Onsen, the dinner and breakfast, size of the rooms, property owners pick us up and drop off at Yudanaka station and drop us off at Monkey Park entrance, the layout of the hotel was beautiful and the views.
