This is not a big luxurious hotel chain. It is a very modest comfortable establishment with friendly staff and an friendly old Dog. I loved the place. It was exactly what I needed. I could even help myself with a coffee and a cookie, free of charge.

Dating back to 1914, this hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Sandefjord Station. It offers free afternoon waffles with tea/coffee, a free evening buffet, plus free sauna and gym access. The hotel staff was very kind! They gave me some tips to get to Torp airport early in the morning and told me about the shuttle bus available at the Torp station which I didn’t know about. When I left the next day at 4am the person at the reception was once again fantastic, giving me a sandwich and fruits and coffe as I wouldn’t be able to get breakfast. Very kind and helpful staff!

Situated at the Åsgårdstrand beach in eastern Norway, Grand Hotel Åsgårdstrand - Unike Hoteller offers striking views of the Oslo fjord. The hotel was exceptional, staff extremely friendly abd the breakfast was outstanding. We’re going back to Norway next year & have rebooked the Grand Hotek.
