Our host helped ensure we knew exactly what time to be collected. We arrived early, which wasn't a problem, and were also allowed late checkout. The property is calm and tranquil, right by a branch of the river. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable. We borrowed bikes on both days to explore the area. On the second day, we got a small ferry over to one of the islands. The property organised a sampan boat ride for us, and we were picked up from the little jetty at the farmstay. We ate meals at the property which you had to book in advance. These were good value and delicious. We would highly recommend this as a great escape from the hustle and bustle of HCM and excellent value for money.

This place felt like heaven on earth. Located in beautiful garden, surrounded trees with all kinds of tropical fruits, the coconut candy manufacture right on premises, amazing homemade food. Bikes to rent for free. Butterflies everywhere. All family run and environmentally friendly. Don’t expect luxury, expect amazing authentic and serene place, where you get some amazing rest an eat as fresh as it gets.

El Mango Home Riverside Eco - Resort, en un exuberante jardín tropical, es un complejo ecológico situado en el delta del Mekong. Situated in a beautiful lush tropical garden, Mango Home is serenity and bliss, just 15 km away from the Ben Tre city center. Our room was very nice and sparkling clean. Staff is young and still learning, but very kind and helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and safe. They have a 24/7 hotline for any help you might need with your travel. We booked their 1-day Ben Tre tour and had a lovely 4+ hours through the villages, visiting small scale industries and learning about the life of the people living near the river. Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive (she also presented us with many facts about tropical plants, when she realised that we are interested in tropical flora). We used 4 types of transportation - boat, bicycle, tuk-tuk and sampan and had some tea and coconut candy in a local garden. It was a very pleasant day! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and to chat about Vietnam and our travels. They are very hospitable and treat every guest with respect and courtesy. I warmly recommend Mango Home!
