Ryokans in Ito

The staff were lovely and very helpful, and they let us store our bags before our check in time. The location was good too. The blossoms outside our window were beautiful.

Staff were incredibly polite and pleasant. We felt so well-taken care of during our whole trip. It rained quite a bit and they were attentive in ensuring we had umbrellas to get around. Ito Yukitei also wasn't swamped with tourists when we were there. :) Onsen was not crowded too.

The stay was great. The public onsen facilities were clean and I enjoyed the fact that there were several onsens of different temperature as well as a cold pool and sauna. The property has two different onsens that switch every day for men and women, so there is technically 2 onsen areas, each quite spacious and comfortable. The private onsen in our room was great and the amenities in the room were really high quality -- I enjoyed the ReFa shower head and hair dryer. We had both breakfast and dinner at the property and the dinner was amazing, highly recommend getting both breakfast and dinner. Overall, my husband and I were very satisfied with our stay and wish we stayed another night.

Everything was amazing! The staff were so helpful, caring and generous. The 10pm homemade ramen by the staff was unbelievable. The comfy bed , the traditional clothing and the private onsens made the experience that much better. Didn’t matter that we don’t speak Japanese either , they were happy to help and some spoke good English. It is like a whole resort. So fun and fulfilling. Will definitely be going back.

Retro dream land — I loved everything!

I loved the area, Usami is a very cute town and people are friendly! Also the train was super easy to access in order to visit other areas. The bath on the roof is the obvious highlight. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit some place a bit more いなか.

The paintings on the wall were so cute it was full of dogs paintings. Really a pleasure to stay there.

I loved being immersed in the beauty of the Izu Peninsula and experiencing authentic Japanese ryokan culture.

If you are looking for a local, family-run, ryokan style hotel with tatami mats, wooden walls and sliding doors, two on-site onsen, and a delicious and authentic Japanese breakfast, look no further. HIYOSHI and his team/family are unbelievably kind and ridiculously helpful. They do any and everything to help you enjoy your stay at their establishment, including driving all around the area to shuttle you to the many wonderful things to see and explore in and around Itō.

Staying in this hotel in Ito was the highlight of the trip! The room had a tatami sea view and an in-room onsen for just over 8100 yen. They also offered a private open-air onsen for 4500 yen/3 hours, which is great value. Initially, I hesitated about staying in Ito for a night, but after visiting, I definitely think I should have stayed another day to relax and sunbathe by the sea. There's no need to rush.

Very clean, nice private onsen, quiet ryokan which is bigger than it looks from the outside , very friendly staff. The food was delicious and of good quality. Rooms were large and comfortable. Price was readily compared to other ryokans in the area.

One of the best experiences we had in Japan! The staff at Seizan Yamato are extremely friendly and helpful, doing everything they can to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very clean, and every day the staff would check in with us about breakfast and dinner times. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We celebrated my birthday at Seizan Yamato, and they kindly offered a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and even helped us order a birthday cake. A special thank you to Mr. Ikeda and Ms. Ae for making our time at Seizan Yamato so unforgettable. We will definitely come back again!
