Location-wise it wasn't close to the train station, but it is close to the beach and the castle, and while the tourist information desk is back at the station, you can start the recommended sight-seeing loop at the castle with no issues. The food is fantastic. I just had the normal option with the fish and every part of it was great. There's also a coffee machine with pods available for use so I didn't even have any complaints about the coffee. I'm not sure of the make but the pods were aluminum so they will recycle. The futon was one of the more comfortable ones I've had.

It was a perfectly manicured property and every room offered a breathtaking ocean view. Their kaiseki dinner was delicious and their service was to die for. We told them that we’re celebrating our husbands’ big birthday there and we’re what they’d come up with. They offered them a lovely birthday cake with traditional Japanese celebration attire for them to try on! We loved their care and wonderful hospitality.

It was a wonderful experience staying at a ryokan at an affordable price. The service was excellent, impressive, and felt like it was designed for each individual guest. The rooms were spacious, had a great atmosphere, and offered views of a beautifully maintained Japanese garden. The staff were very attentive and made every effort to communicate with me, a foreigner.

The spa, onsen and rooftop pool overlooking the beach were excellent. The room was large and so confortable and I loved the balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel has bikes to hire and a shuttle for train station drop off and pick up. A brilliant stay, loved it.

We were touched by the exceptional quality of the service and kindness. The ryokan is a lovely building well situated for visiting the castle, the early Meiji villa’s and the pottery shops. The breakfast and dinner were of excellent quality.

The experience in the traditional Japanese style ryokan was amazing. We arrived before check in. They welcomed us even we arrived early. The room was in 1st floor name of 'Genkai'. The room was able to open the large window that make us see the lovely garden. Even though it was rain during our staying, the garden was enough to enjoy for a night. The dinner and breakfast are so so nice. Me and my friend absolutely fall in love to yoyokaku. I want to say thank you for staffs of yoyokaku and really look forward to next our visit.

It was perfect. Peaceful, calm, quiet. It was a snowy day in January and the Ryokan was kept warm. The staff is so kind and helpful! Breakfast was incredible and the dining room overlooking the gardens was so nice. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable compared to other Ryokans we have stayed in. There isn’t a single complaint we have! We will stay again!

This was probably the best Ryokan that we stayed at during one month in Japan. We had a car but it was an easy 20 minute walk into town. The building is beautiful & we loved the pine tree garden (thank you to the retired owner for showing us around the garden & sharing his passion). The breakfast was delicious & all the staff were so helpful & attentive, with excellent recommendations for eating out. We would have liked to have stayed longer .....
