Maguro was INCREDIBLY kind , drove me to the bus station (very erly) in the morning and gave me a little bag of sweets & fruits! We talked both in English and Japanese, he is a really interesting and interested person to talk to! He will be willing to make breakfast really early as well if you plan for an early start for Kumano Kodo

It sits right on the harbor at Kii Tanabe. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Great onsen waters. Hotel chefs accommodated my need to be gluten free perfectly despite how difficult it is with Japanese food. That kindness will always be appreciated. Great staff!

The hotel was a fun experience. It is a traditional ryokan and onsen. We did feel slightly out of place with being one of only a few foreigners, but everyone was nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere majestic.

Really lovely guest house in a lovely seaside town. Enjoyed staying here for a quiet weekend getaway. People were lovely and it was a large comfortable room nicely located by a conbini with the beach and bus stop nearby.

Miyoshiya Ryokan features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within a 16-minute walk of Tanabe Ogigahama Beach and 600 yards of Tokei Shrine.

Thoughtful services. The staff noticed that we have an elderly traveler, he immediately got us a higher chair to ensure the elderly can sit comfortably. There are staff who can speak English which was very helpful. The food portion was more than enough and every dish was tasty. We would love to visit again!

Room was spacious and clean. The hot spring in the balcony was fantastic - watching the sunset while sitting in the hot spring! Dinner was great too! I didn’t expect they serve lobster sashimi! Everything was fresh and delicious! I will definitely come back to this hotel !
