Excellent breakfast. Great seafront location but also direct access to main pedestrian area. Our room in the next door annexe had a nice half sea view. Lovely bathroom.. looked newly done. A very good hotel ... everything working smoothly

I loved the beach, it was clean, you have plenty sand space, I mean, this beach will never be crowded because the distance from where the sand starts until where the water is is very long. A small coastal resort outside Alkmaar. Good coast walks and Alkmaar provides the local City to visit and rail transfer facilities to north south and west. We rode the trains to Enkhuisen via Hoorn. Enough bars and restaurants but I guess it would be very busy in the summer months. The local people were great and keen to talk to us which was good.

Very compact restaurant shopping area with an excellent beach. Very busy during tourist season which might tread on the tranquility aspect that it offers offseason. Beautiful spot to leave the car in the driveway and be a local.

I did order a cheese omelette one morning, which may have been crossing a line, but there it was, and it was delicious. I really loved breakfast time. Coffee was always right there, well made, hot and in a pot on our table. We would definitely return in the future, hopefully when the weather is more cooperative.

The yard is surrounded by high fences which gives you a sense of privacy and was perfect to let the dog roam. Good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center. Fresh bread rolls, eggs, cold cuts and daily a surprise. The rooms are clean with their own sink. Plenty of outlets to charge your phone, tablet and laptop all at the same time. Free wifi of course. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach. The atmosphere is very nice. We certainly can recommend the Zandtaart.

The owners were so wonderful and the breakfast was super yummy. Echt Nederlands! Very beautifully decorated and spacious. We had a bright room on the first floor facing the main road and it was so wonderful. There was also a lovely kitchenette and a very large bathroom. Super clean!
