Initially unable to locate the car park, but got there in the end it is actually directly opposite the hotel in Pound rd. Friendly greeting on arrival.
Room on second floor, no lift. Room faced the main road so noisy first thing in the morning, as it's a busy road into Lyme Regis. Windows are double glazed.
Medium sized room, small en suite with shower.
Coffee, tea etc available.
Decided to eat in the restaurant our first night, busy, food very good best chips I have had in a long time, the lamb, although a little pink, was delicious. No room for desert.
The hotel is situated at the top of Silver St, only a short stroll into the town, decent walk back!
Good choice for breakfast.
In the centre of Lyme Regis, just 150 metres from the beach, the Royal Lion Hotel has a pool, sauna and games room. Some rooms have sea views and balconies.

I loved the historic feel of this 16th century hotel. And the quirkiness (the floor in our room sloped a bit because it's so old). The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spotless. The breakast offered an excellent choice and the location was perfect, being just a short walk from the seafront. There was also an indoor heated pool which you could book just for your party or family. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the bar where you cojld also enjoy a meal. We will definitely return.
This Georgian country house is located just off the coastal path between Charmouth and Lyme Regis. This accommodation boasts Dorset Countryside and woodland views.

Lyme Regis looks great in the sun, however many of the buildings are empty. They could also do with painting as so many look shabby and run down. Shame that they are not being taken care of. Could not see a chemist or a bank on the main street but may have missed them!!!

We try to visit Lyme Regis every year.
We try to visit Lyme Regis every year. We have been in all seasons. Magical in December, a perfect place for a week away from it all in February and a pleasure at the height of summer. Lovely food shops, wonderful ice cream and fish and chips. At any time of year come dressed just to sit by the sea and take in the view.

Lovely seaside town.
Lovely seaside town. Lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries and gift shops. Sandy beach, safe for children. A walk out along the Cobb (the sea wall) is a must for any visitor. Beware it is expensive, food and drink very overpriced but it seems to be attacting the kind of visitors for whom high prices are not an issue!

Lyme Regis is a lovely seaside resort with plenty of quirky shops and places to eat. Unfortunately Lyme Regis is very hilly and they are mostly very steep. We would not have stayed if we had known. We were hoping for a car free break but this was not the case! Due to cartilage problems with my Husbands knee he was unable to climb the hills!

Always ensure you have a car park the closest to the beach as possible as quite a big hill if you are wheelchair bound. To other car parks. And make sure you leave as early as possible to get a favourable spot on the beach.
You are spoilt for choice for lovely eateries coffees and ice cream an ideal spot for couples with young children as everything within close proximity for them but be mindful of the busy winding road coming into the town of Lyme Regis.
A great thing to do is to walk along the cob and breezier and cooler the harbour end on a really warm day.
Check out Lyme bay fish and chips the harbour end best fish and chips we've ever tasted. And if you have children with you a boat trip is great and the aquarium there.
Great place to eat was the Cob arms my husband loved the steak and great variety of mixed fish platters to try.

Lyme Regis is a stunning town with everything you need right on your doorstep. Always immaculately maintained and clean and tidy - if you get up early you can see the beach being cleaned every morning. Lovely restaurants, coffee shops, and typical seaside businesses. I have been visiting Lyme for many years, it is my go-to for a relaxing break in one of the most stunning areas of the UK.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Every detail has been thought through. Individually themed rooms demonstrating thoughtful design with high level specification. Even though the hotel was full it felt like we were the only guests staying. Everyone we met in the hotel could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. A real gem and close to Lyme Regis which is just fun.
Great location with parking. The room we stayed in went above are expectations and very clean with a large en suite. The breakfast was definitely the best I have ever eaten at a B&B/hotel and the owners of the property were so welcoming and friendly.
Great location, quirky flat with character, comfortable bed and nice and clean. Everything that needed for my stay. Also very near to nice park/gardens to exercise my dog. Lyme regis very dog friendly!!
Very well equipped, the decor was great, close to a pub and we walked into Lyme Regis.
Jo the host was superb and helped us out with our questions on the area.
The hot tub was just wonderful.
