Everything was exactly as it was set out to be, but honestly the little touches were everything! Brilliant communication with the hosts, flexibility if needed and really helpful recommendations for places to visit/eat. We tried most of the recommended places and they were all brill!
On average, 3-star hotels in Mesongi cost NOK 809 per night, and 4-star hotels in Mesongi are NOK 1,020 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Mesongi can on average be found for NOK 1,352 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
We love Messonghi, its very friendly and laid back.
We love Messonghi, its very friendly and laid back. There are good supermarkets for self catering if needed, a few very good places to eat, lovely coffee shop. Everything is in walking distance and mainly flat. A very relaxing place. We ate at Taverna Minori many times, Kerali, To Meraki, Mojo's and Bo the Butcher and tried Archontiko for the first time. In our experience these are the best places in Messonghi to eat.

This resort had everything - tavernas supermarkets/gift shops and did not have the overwhelming touristy feel some resorts have . Another beach - Prasoudi can be reached by car in 15 minutes, which had hard sand sun loungers and a bar, really lovely. Buses stop nearby and a bus trip to Corfu Town is 2.20euros each. and takes about 30-40mins

I have visited Messonghi many times.
I have visited Messonghi many times. It is tourist village but not overly so. There are restaurants along the beachfront, a few (well stocked ) supermarkets and gift shops. There are a few bars but this village is not a big party town. Good if you like a meal and a few wines in the evening. There are boat trips available (I recommend Captain Homers) .
The village is nestled between the mountains on the South coast. It’s not far into Corfu town and in the other direction is a lovely village called Boukari which has fabulous fish restaurants ( Spiros Karadis in particular).
I recommend Messonghi for people who want a relaxed peaceful holiday by the sea .

I've been visiting Messonghi since 2001 and have witnessed...
I've been visiting Messonghi since 2001 and have witnessed its evolution firsthand. Originally a quaint fishing village, it's seen significant modernization over recent years, a change that some might welcome while others could find off-putting. The charm of Messonghi, however, lies in its compactness, as everything is within a short walk, be it along the beach or via the busier road behind.
My personal dining favorites in the area are Taverna Minore and Korali Snack Bar.
Taverna Minore is a charming, authentic Greek spot where the food is simply outstanding, courtesy of the talented chef. Their prices are incredibly fair for what they offer, but do note that due to its popularity, it's advisable to reserve a table in advance. The owner is a wonderfully welcoming man; if you take the time to engage him in conversation, he's likely to invite you to sit and share a glass of Ouzo with him.
Korali Snack Bar is a family-run establishment with an extensive and affordable menu. The hosts have maintained their friendly and welcoming demeanor through the years, always greeting us with the same enthusiasm as they did on our first visit – it's undoubtedly one of the highlights of the area!
Just a stone's throw from Korali is Time Out Boss, a cozy bar run by some truly lovely people. The bartender, Lefteri, a friend for 16 years, always greets guests with a smile. Big boss George, a fixture at the bar, is great for a chat and a laugh, and “Tiny George” ensures smooth service at all the tables. He's a master of maintaining professional service and friendship, which deserves a special shout-out.
Out of respect for the locals, I won't share negative experiences with specific places here. Instead, I'd recommend checking Google Maps and TripAdvisor for further insight into other eateries. Some might not retain the same charm as they did years ago, so it's wise to do a little research before your visit.

Messonghi is the perfect place for a quite peaceful holiday, all the local inhabitants are very friendly and will go out of their way to help when needed. Bars and restaurants are in plenty full supply, we stayed for 9 nights and ate out at a different restaurant each evening, all excellent. As there has been insufficient space to give a special mention to hotel staff elsewhere I take this opportunity to say that the following were all exceptional:- Takis, Marina, Vasilis, Demitri, Alex and Heffi Senior and junior, what an exceptional contribution they made to our Holiday, thank you all so very much.

Mesongi has a good mix of both accommodation and restaurants...
Mesongi has a good mix of both accommodation and restaurants and there is no shortage of things to do.
The resort has a very good feel about it where the newer high end accommodation and old style Greek hotels offer a good balance whilst shops and services were also plentiful with a good bud service and taxis available.
Good walking and boat trips and the local restaurants were superb.
The location was perfect, around 10min walk from the beach and the village center with all the shops and restaurants, which meant it was far away enough from the noise and it offered a fantastic view all around.
Vlassis and his mother were fantastic hosts, he even picked us up from the bus stop and drove us back when it was time to leave. They took good care of us, always asking how everything is.
The apartment itself had everything we needed, including a little kitchenette. It was cleaned every two days and was very comfortable. ,
Beautifully designed hotel, where they really look after you. The sun loungers on the beach were some of the comfiest I've ever laid on, they kept you provided with lots of free water, and the rooms with the private pools are just amazing. It's a great location if you enjoy local authentic Greek tavernas, as there's lots on your doorstep. I travelled alone and felt really safe, and well looked after by the wonderful staff.
* Good, clean beds and bedsheets
* Good fridge and kitchen facilities
* Balcony ovelooking the pool was very nice
* Friendly staff that showed us around and gave us a nice map with nearby attractions
* Air conditioning was decent
* Hair dryer available
* Good location, 1 minute away from the beach and many restaurants and shops
* We got quite a big room with 3 extra beds besides the queen bed in which we stayed.
Clean apartment, very close to the beach, nice view from the balcony, large supermarket nearby, well equipped kitchen. On the ground floor of the building there is a travel agency if you are interested in boat trips. At around 9 AM every day a man with a red truck is selling fresh fish,we bought sea bass from him and it was very tasty totally recommend. Messonghi is peaceful and quiet,we had a great stay.
After having spent a week here, I would recommend this hotel to everyone going to Corfu. This is a warm and welcoming place full of friendly faces who do their very best to make you feel at home. The view from the hotel is wonderful and the rooms are well equipped and clean. It’s a wonderful place from where you can explore the island.
It was a great stay, I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff in all departments ever so welcoming, the food was great with a large variety. We spend our time around the pool but also at the beach which is only 1 minute away. If we come back to Corfu we plan on staying longer at the hotel.
Everything. The hotel managers who are an amazing and very welcoming family were super nice and helpful during the whole stay. The food is deliciously good and the cocktails are perfect. The beach is 2 meters from the hotel which makes the whole thing even better. Definitely will come back 😻
Great location, one minute walk to the beach, and just across the road from a supermarket and the bus stop to Corfu town. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Beautiful pool. Management and staff were so nice and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed staying here.
The host is incredibly welcoming and accomodating, he have recommended us a great places to see around Corfu and places to eat. The building and the room are very clean and nicely kept by Costas mother. The room is cosy and styled with a good taste. Cannot recommend enough :)
best best view! Realy one of best view in Corfu - sunset and sunrise from your window. Hotel have a elevator. its very comfortable. Staff is very frendly, room clean and very comfortable, Restaurant (tavern) on the top is perfect. Very recomended this place.
Great location, facilities, staff, and value. Our host Xenia made every accommodation from their onsite office including renting us a car, booking a day cruise, recommending beaches, restaurants and visiting a local olive oil company. We shall return!
Very friendly and helpful owner. Comfortable beds. Accommodation is about a 15 minutes walk from the beach, but Mesongi's central location makes from this place a good starting point for day trips around Corfu by car.
The hotel is beautifully done! Location is okay (quiet) but you need a car if you want to visit good beaches. Staff is super friendly and nice, especially at the reception, cleaning ladies and lobby bar!
The hosts were very friendly and gave us an overview of the surrounding beaches, attractions, places to visit. Let us know of some parking spots when we drove to visit the crowded Kerkyra.
The price we paid was good, property is situated in calm and quiet place. The pool is clean and comfortable. It’s good location for exploring the south Corfu.
Niki has been a perfect host! She really took care of us. Super cozzy apartment and amazing services. Best place to stay in Corfu. We really recomend it!!!
