The city is awesome, surrounded by nature and the weather...
The city is awesome, surrounded by nature and the weather was great although the last day was starting to become super hot. The sense of hospitality is non-existent and for non-arabic speakers it is super challenging.
The only beach club worth going is Berenice as it is cheap and has a natural beach (although it's sea beach and not ocean one). But do not expect good service as it does not exist in the city.
If you are going to dive or other outdoor activity, I recommend but to enjoy sunny days by the beach, look for another place to go.
Food is also good but again, they have no sense of hospitality and if you don't speak Arabic it gets worse.

AQABA ....
AQABA ....
City full of life and color at the Red Sea, with traditional food & music, good people, very lively public beach!
Markets, terraces, shops, warm and welcoming people, as in all of Jordan, by the way.
Wonderful market of spices and teas!
You can serve the meal, with confidence, on all terraces! Excellent traditional food!
You have to visit Aqaba to feel everything!
Ayla neighborhood, wonderful!
Berenice Club Beach an extraordinary experience at the beach, with an excellent vacation vibe, very good music, club equipped with everything necessary, wonderful employees from the bar and entertainment!
Amazing beach!
Thank you, Aqaba, for all you offer!

Aqaba is just another urban city.
Aqaba is just another urban city. A partying, high on night-life kind of place.
There are several food options and is generally easy on the pocket.
The Aqaba castle is okay, the museum is good, and is interesting only if you have a curiosity towards T.E. Lawrence and the story of the family. Which I think you should. You can easily spend an hour in that museum.
The public beach is an interesting place to visit to see the city's people, and not the beach as such.
I would say a day and a night and a checkout the next day should more than suffice.

I loved my hotel and the walk at Ayla!
I loved my hotel and the walk at Ayla! The food at Ali’s Central Restaurant was excellent too.
I visited the bazar / souq, and I don’t recommend that as it was so busy and nothing really there except cheap Chinese products
Leaving Aqaba and dealing with customs was a nightmare!

Aqaba is a wonderful city & port with a wonderful sea,...
Aqaba is a wonderful city & port with a wonderful sea, beaches, weather, shops, hotels, restaurants, museums etc... People are very hospitable and friendly. Great landscape, palms, mountains, city tours and boat tours available all the time, this is apart from all the other water activities you can enjoy. You will also find a variety of shops with different items and reasonable prices. I strongly recommend to visit Aqaba at least once. Yet, if you have visited it once, you will visit again and again.
We were just there and are already planning for our next trip soon.
Definitely, we will visit again....
Beautiful new hotel of just the right size to be cozy and relaxing. Spacious and very comfortable rooms, very high-tech.
The beach is beautiful and well-supervised, with corals and fish right in front of the seafront, perfect for an introductory snorkelling session leaving you to want more -> therefore booking was easy with the diving center for a boat trip to the famous Japanese Gardens (20 jod pp).
Good food overall (especially the breakfast)
Amazing staff!
For sure the location, then comfe bed and then the view wile having breakfast. Hotel rooms are fancy and have minibars and all staff from booking description. I want to help everyone who searching for beaches. You can find one most beautiful beach on the south about 15 minutes of driving from hotel. Use taxi or rental car. The name of this beach are Japanese Garden and it is free. You will feel most beautiful sunset... Just stay late afternoon.
Generally speaking I like everything!
Starting with the room - very big , clean, bed mattress is firm , new, very comfortable
Hotel staff is outstanding , very supportive and helpful!
I was even taking to bus station twice by Muatas Alashary,, really appreciated
Wonderful people ,real Jordan hospitality!
Hotel is brend new ,and very well located
Very good value!
I would highly recommend this place
I will stay there again!
One of our best stays in Jordan! The hotel is very new with really nice decorated rooms. The staffs are professional and always greet us with a smile. Breakfast has good selection - i’d say its even better than our stay in another famous 5-star hotel. Also the rooms come with a strong shower which is really comfortable! Bravos to BRATUS hotel aqaba. Thank you for making our stays incredible!
Brand new rooms, perfectly clean, view and balcony, exactly like in pictures in Booking, perfect spot. steps to the beach and beach restaurants.... Just a note that the restaurants do not serve alcoholic drinks and the woman can not swim in bikinis. We went to the beach 7 km south, with restaurants and facilities, pools, beach chairs and sunbrellas. Short drive from the hotel.
Great hotel right on the beach.
Very welcoming environment, the room was comfortable and spacious, the facilities were nice and well kept. Food was good.
Also the gym is well equipped.
Plenty of pools around and easy access to the water.
If you like snorkeling, definitely worth it to take a tour: there are beautiful corals just 10 min away.
I loved this hotel. Everything was perfect and the view from our balcony to die for. Previously we were staying in another hotels and we really regret we didn’t get to Mina before. It gives you 5 star hotel experience for really good money. We loved every minute of our stay. Breakfast was not that good but it’s not a problem at all.
One of the best 5 star hotels I've stayed at during my 10 day trip to Jordan. Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and everything is just perfect! Facilities were amazing and I even got to use the gym, sauna and jacuzzi. It has the best access to the Red Sea too! Highly recommended for solo travellers like me!
The location of the hotel is pretty good. although it needs refreshing in many ways. The price you pay is ok for the comfort although proably would try another hotel and pay little more. Although we have seen many offers and chose this one. The photos of the rooms are not showing the actual state.
Very comfortable stay at Grand Tala Bay Resort Aqaba. The room was very specious and we had a nice sea view. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was extensive. We stayed here at the end of our trip in Jordan and could really relax here during our last days. Very recommended to stay here.
A five star hotel in aqaba with great facilities including private beach. outstanding breakfast .
After staying in much expensive hotels in aqaba I enjoyed my stay in Intercontinental and will stay there in my next visit. Mohanad at the reciept desk is 🏅🏅
Nice hotel with professional staff. We got a free room upgrade, which was much appreciated. New and clean rooms in a quiet area. Good location. Free parking on the street nearby. Good breakfast, Jordan style. Vfm especially at the price we got it.
The hotel was amazing! Very clean, great location and good service.
One thing about our booking experience, we booked half board and when we arrived we discovered it wasn’t half board, Booking has issues! Bad experience with Booking app!!
The staffs at the reception and the waiter at the breakfast room were very very polite and helpful. In general I have to add the people of Jordan are very friendly in general. I recommend the hotel and Aqaba. Worth it to visit.
I stayed in the hotel with my friends for 2 nights. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel gives a 5 star vibes. the staff are friendly and helpful. The owners are present most of the time and very responsive!
Nice location for tala bay (but far from Aqaba). Comparable to many similar hotels in Spain/Greece. Private beach and pool complex a few minutes walk away, along with a marina with bars/shops/boat trips
Great team, fantastic service, special mention to Ahmed at reception. Nice terass on seaside, best hotel and only on the beach beside the 3 expensive 5 stars.
