Pisa is a lovely city I have been lucky to visit a few times. The Leaning Tower is worth seeing, but I would suggest going in late evening or out of the tourist season. But there are other places worth checking out - this time we discovered the Nave Antica Museum - only opened in 2019 just before Covid, which houses many Roman boats from BC, which were found after flooding in 1998 - in an old horse stables - lots of gems - lovely restaurants and because it is a student town, there is always a buzz - we've been there in all seasons of the year and it is well worth visiting any time of year, although July and August are very very hot.

Pisa sights are mostly gathered in one place.
Pisa sights are mostly gathered in one place. It can be busy with a lot of tourists but it is not so busy as Florence for example. It is very simple to walk in the city from one place to another. And there are plenty things to do except the Tower.

Excellent transport system - used train for 2 day trips.
Excellent transport system - used train for 2 day trips. Airport only 1.6km walk from train station. Easy to walk around Pisa. Enjoyed Leaning Tower of Pisa & Cathedral - recommend you book before your visit as tickets for tower may not be available on the day and you are allocated a specific time to access the tower. All bags must be stored in a locker, free of charge, when going up the tower. Charge of €1 to use the toilets. Pisa is a lovely place to stroll around in the evening.

The Leaning Tower was beautiful and as breathtaking as I had anticipated. I was surprised to discover that the Duomo also has a slight lean! I would have liked to walk around the medieval city on the wall, but it is closed to tourists. One afternoon was enough to see the tower, church, and Duomo. There are 20 restaurants on the street from the Leaning Tower, all equally excellent and all with nearly jdentical menus.

Pisa is quite a nice city, small, and not too much to do besides the obvious tourist areas. A 2-3 days stay here would probably suit most people who come here mostly for the tower and area surrounding it. I like Pisa all in all.
Friendly service and owner communicated well and met us for check in when we arrived, it is a 15 minute walk from Pisa central station. Everything was as expected and location to the airport was excellent, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, there is local cafe close by, which was lovely and a real local meeting spot. It was in walking distance to the city and leaning tower of Pisa in about 40 minutes, overall was ideal for our last stop in Italy before flying home.
The location is perfect, just next to the central station and less than 20 mins walk to the tower! The welcome I received from Gaia? (I'm not certain it's her name) was the best I have received in Italy. Her personality is infectious. The rest of the staff were friendly too, but she was standout. The breakfast was nice, definitely try the panacotta! The room was clean and comfortable. A lift to take you up stairs and they were extremely accommodating in keeping luggage there.
Autenthic Italy city center accommodation experience, 10 min walking from Pisa Centrale, 25 min walking from Airport.
I would summarize by saying that we felt just like home.
Exceptionally clean, one of the most comfortable beds. The breakfast ia very rich, freshly prepared and diversified by choice. The provolone cheese is something to remember. Flavia is a wonderful host, pleasant to talk with, very careful and we thank her for everything.
Superb location! Three minutes from the train station, 20 mins from the tower, quiet street, felt safe.
Excellent breakfast, best cappuccino I had all holiday, lovely warm croissants and very good choice of continental breakfast.
Really friendly and competent staff, they took time to answer questions and gave sight seeing advice.
I will readily recommend this hotel for a stay in Pisa and as a base for exploring Tuscany by train.
Exceptional hotel in the heart of Pisa.
Location perfect 8min walk from train station, 15mins walk to cathedral & Tower. Less than 10mis drive to airport.
Very polite professional staff ,clean hotel beautiful buffet breakfast.
Comfortable beds.
We recieved a upgrade to a suite as it was our wedding anniversary which was a lovely surprise for us. Beautiful huge suite thank you Hotel Bologna!
First of all, the warm and helpful reception and guidance of the owner and staff. Furthermore, the pleasant and beautifully decorated setting of rooms, dining room, valie and garden. The location close to the airport but no noise pollution & good accessibility downtown. It was my best experience of all my Italy trips now and in the past. La corte di Stelio is what every B&B should be.
This was our best stay during our roadtrip through Italy. Paolo was super friendly, check-in was easy and fast. The room was so nice and so clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling down after visiting Pisa (only 5km away from the B&B). Definitely would recommend staying at Vecchio Granaio and would definitely book again!
This hotel is close to the train station, so if you wish to visit other cities in Italy, it's a perfect location to walk to the train station and get easily to any other city in Italy. We went from here to Florence and Siena. Also walking distance to the attractions around the Tower of Pisa. The walk was about 1 KM and totally flat (no hills) all the way to the Tower.
It’s definitely the best property we have stayed in Italy! It’s very high level, wonderfully designed, with good-quality materials, very new, spotless and comfortable. The location is absolutely amazing, right in the centre by all attraction and the leaning tower just 10 min away. And the breakfast is probably in the best cafe in town!
The little touches in these apartments was lovely and really made a difference to our last night in Italy. the host made it very easy to check in and helped with booking us a taxi to the airport the day after. very thoughtful and the room was very clean and comfortable. definitely recommend to stay in if staying in Pisa.
It was a lovely, comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay. We travel to Pisa alot as we have family in ITaly, and it was a perfect stop over to get to the airport first thing in the morning. Clean, comfy and well looked after. There was a simple breakfast which was a bonus.
This hotel is conveniently located close to the central Pisa Station. This is an excellent location if you come from the airport and train. The hotel has comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast, probably the better of our whole trip to italy. Definitely recommended.
Loved everything about it. Definitely the best hostel I've stayed in my Italy trip. The rooms were clean, bed was comfy, location was just perfect if you're in Pisa for the tower. Stephanie at the reception was wonderful and very helpful.
The staff of this hotel is very humble and hospitable in nature. They offered us breakfast at no cost, printed map to navigate as our data signals were poor. The hotel location is pretty close to restaurants and Pisa tower.
It is just a minute distance from Pisa tower , staff is very good , Breakfast good , hotel also comfortable and spacious, they will keep luggage storage even after checkout for sometime. It is value for money
Hotel located in the opposite street of Pisa tower. Can be easily reached from train station either by walk or by bus. Surrounded by restaurants. Room and bathroom was clean.
Nice and cozy place. 300 m train station and from there you can find to airport for 5€ by shuttle.
The hotel located near Pisa Tower.
