Great Malvern is an absolute gem.
Great Malvern is an absolute gem. We had never visited before and were delighted with the countryside and Malvern Hills. The views are amazing. The town has a charm and seems away from the hustle and bustle of some other places we have been.
We visited a National Trust estate, Croome Park which is fairly close by which was beautiful and well worth a visit.
The town itself has quite a few independent cafes and shops so nice to confined to the usual choice of cafe chains etc.

If you are a walker or hiker then this is a perfect place to stay. Town itself is small and not much open on a Sunday but there are some lovely eateries/restaurants. Malvern flea market at the show ground is a great place to pick up bargains but arrive early!

We only visited the town briefly as we were in the area to walk but the priory is beautiful and an extremely interesting and intact survivor of the Middle Ages. The situation is beautiful but probably not for the unfit being on a steep hillside.

We loved Great Malvern, we visited Worcester for cricket also visited Elgars House. In Great Malvern we did a lot of walking on the hills. We were very lucky with the weather and therefore this added to the walking experience. The village is very hilly which could be difficult for people with accessabiluty issues. There are lots of cafes, we can recommend Abbey Road cafe and the cafe by the information center. We ate meals in our accommodation, Waitrose is very handy.

The town was a good starting point for a walk onto the hills. It was a gradual climb but well worth it when at the top. There is a cafe at St Anne’s well which is about half way up but it’s not open until 11 or 11.30. Lovely vegan food. Plenty of bookshops in the town and a selection of places to eat. Two restaurants across the road from the Great Malvern hotel. One Indian and a Nepalese which was really good. The Priory is well worth a visit.
The location is perfect for exploring Great Malvern and the surrounding area. Reception staff were consistently welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great en suite shower room. We were on the sunny side of the hotel, which was quite warm but there was a very efficient and quiet fan provided, for which we were grateful. There was free parking. We ate in the Mulberry Tree restaurant in the evening where the service was also very good and the food great.
- beautiful building
- great location for visiting malvern

- really good buffet breakfast
- good range at the evening bar
- decent room
- kettle for tea, and coffee machine in room
- loved the plastic free bins and recycling bin inserts, first time I’ve seen this in a hotel and it’s always something I think is needed!
- all staff we met were very friendly
We had a lovely stay at the Malvern Hills Hotel. Just what we needed, situated so you can park the car and leave it there, perfect for walking the Malvern Hills, straight out of the hotels front door. Room was great, food was really good, will stay again I would imagine :-).
This is a great option if you want a day away in Great Malvern to wander the nearby hills. It is a comfy, friendly, old fashioned hotel - the rooms are fine, and the breakfast was great.
The hotel was in an excellent location in Great malvern for the shop's and all the other attractions. Very peaceful and very comfortable excellent value for money
