The breakfast was great, location was wonderful but the Hotel was amazing, a proper old (1601) hotel, it was lovely. Neil was a fantastic host, checked us in and helped with everything, he is a great guy and enthusiastic about the hotel, he made a big positive difference to our stay

Loved the staff, really warm and welcoming and very helpful and nothing was too much for them. The pool was lovely, says it was a heated pool and it isn't but it was a very sunny day so made it bearable. Breakfast was lovely and easy to choose your options, bathroom, bedroom etc was all lovely and clean. Bed was slightly hard but very spacious so didn't really affect anything.

The hosts extremely helpful, accommodating, friendly. Location of hotel peaceful & quiet with bird songs early morning. Tidy well maintained grounds. The pool looked very inviting but outside weather bit chilly to try.

Beautiful walks along the Jurassic coast. Wonderful light.
Beautiful walks along the Jurassic coast. Wonderful light. Lots of places to eat etc, if very overpriced. unless you call 10 pounds for a toasted sandwich in an average cafe a fair price. Beautiful sea views and walks. The whole place has a special and magical atmosphere.

Lyme Regis is a lovely town on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
Lyme Regis is a lovely town on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The scenery is wonderful, as are the beaches. The area is famous for its fossils, and ammonites can be found while walking on the rocky beaches by the cliffs. Lyme is also famous for being the town where paleontologist Mary Anning lived and worked. There are excellent pubs and restaurants.

We arrived in late afternoon on the eve of D-Day+80, and after half term was over, so it was pleasantly empty! We were working there on a video production so focussed in that, eating in an Indian restaurant in town that was superb and seeing the basic sights and waterfront after the majority of visitors had left, so, in our opinion we saw Lyme Regis at its best. If you like crowds - which we don’t - the weekends and summer holiday season will be just what you want. If you want peace and quiet the off season will be perfect for you.

I loved Lyme Regis.
Things to remember:
I loved Lyme Regis.
Things to remember:
•If you're renting a car, rent a small one.
•Don't bring large bills. Most businesses want card interactions or coins/small bills.
Great restaurants, nice shops, picturesque setting, dog loving community.
Go - be sure to not schedule every minute. Give yourself time to wander and enjoy the town!

A beautiful Dorset resort. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Some lovely walks and great beaches.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Harbour inn for Sunday lunch, Millside restaurant for an evening meal. You need need to book in advance to prevent disappointment.
Plenty of Bars on the sea front, places to eat and drink and ice cream shops. Watch out for the always hungry seagulls.

Lyme Regis was a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic coast. The town is clean and well kept. There is a good selection of shops and a couple of small supermarkets but also independent bakers. The museum is worth a visit and the micro brewery. The staff in hotels, shops and restaurants are so friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in and around the town which boasts an excellent beach and nice walks. It is easy to catch a bus east or west. Lyme Regis has a lovely atmosphere with families and dogs milling around happily. We were lucky to have good weather 9 days out of 10! All in all it exceeded our expectations!
This is a really great small hotel run by a really lovely couple. Room was a good size and comfy. Relaxation areas were nice as well. Excellent outdoor pool area too. Breakfasts and dinner were excellent. It's handily placed pretty much halfway between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, and on the South West Coast Path. You need to be fit though if you want to walk to either as the climbs back are quite steep. Perfect base for walkers (good packed lunch on request) and/or fossil hunters (they even supplied us with a hammer).
Great hotel, full of character in a perfect location right in the centre of Lyme Regis, welcoming friendly staff. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for our daughter, both were clean and spacious. We chose to eat in the hotel on the evening of our stay and really enjoyed our meal. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and there was lots of space in the secure car park for our car. We would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Lyme Regis.
Nice, large B&B located up the hill from the centre/beach in Lyme Regis. Walk is about 15 minutes but may be an issue for those with walking/health problems. Friendly welcome, good sized room with a nice view to the hills/coast. Room was comfy and bathroom compact but all in working order. Breakfast was cooked to order and good quality. Secure parking available but check location before you arrive, it's just a minute away but down a tight fairly steep lane.
The perfect place to stay for a visit to Lyme Regis and its spectacular surroundings. Comfortable rooms with all amenities, superb location right in the centre and on the beach, and a real country pub with delicious food and an ample selection of beers and wines. The staff was friendly, helpful, professional and went out of their way make my stay unforgettable. Most highly recommended!!
Very happy with our stay here. Very friendly helpful hosts, parking at the back of the hotel which is a real bonus in Lyme Regis, lovely breakfast. Location worked well for us as we were happy to walk in and out of town, though be aware it is uphill coming back! Would recommend and would stay here again.
Fantastic boutique hotel, the small room was more than we expected & absolutely fine for two of us. The bathroom was unique & shower excellent. Parking was convenient up the hill & charging facilities available. Breakfast was excellent. Location was super for us & we loved exploring the town.
Neil and Rosemary run a beautiful hotel. The rooms are furnished to a high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable with Egyptian cotton sheets. Well maintained garden and warm swimming pool. Good location for Lyme Regis and surrounding area. Good breakfasts. The place is faultless.
Lyme Regis is a lovely town on the Dorset coast. Our room had a large deck overlooking the cliffs and the sea. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Our room was above the pub, but not noisy at all. Location was great, a short walk into town.
Location was good, and the private parking is great as not a lot of places in Lyme Regis have parking. Very dog friendly and the staff were all lovely. Room was pleasant and clean, good breakfast in the morning.
Good position in Lyme Regis. Very hilly so got our hearts pumping. Positive kitchen facilities. Nice not to be restricted to certain breakfast times. Facilities were clean and sufficient for our two night stay.
Homely, comfortable and well equipped apartment, a short walk from the centre of Lyme Regis. The hosts have thought of everything to make you feel at home, with flowers on the table and a welcome cream tea.
Location is ideal, we have dogs and it is close to the dog beach. We have stayed in this area of Lyme Regis previously, it is quiet of an evening, it has stunning views and everything nearby that you need.
The parking space was appreciated given the difficulties of parking in Lyme Regis. A lovely, quirky apartment with all the little things that one might need supplied e.g. sugar, salt, pepper, clingfilm...
The view from window was lovely. The room was nicely furnished and spacious.
Great to find an hotel with a car park in Lyme Regis.
Very friendly staff.
Pleasant short walk to main shops or beach.
Absolutely lovely place within a nice walk to centre and beach! The view was amazing! Studio is bigger than it looks in the pictures and very tidy.
We enjoyed our stay and Lyme Regis was a gem!
Perfectly located in the heart of Lyme Regis. Beautifully decorated throughout. Awesome shower and lovely and private accommodation. Easy to find and park and access was easy (key box).
The breakfast was cooked to order and was fantastic! Fi and Jon went out of their way to make my stay in Lyme Regis a happy one, and I really appreciate staying with people who care.
The hotel is first rate. We thoroughly enjoyed the building, the grounds, and meeting the owners. Breakfast was exceptional, and the bar extremely comfortable.
