FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

A city with a lot to see and do.

A city with a lot to see and do. We enjoyed touring the city but probably 3-4 days is enough to spend there. The weed is out of control. Do not take taxis or grab if possible as traffic is crazy. Use the good train service, Bangkok seems to be the most expensive city in SE Asia compared to Vietnam, Cambodia, Loas and Cambodia. Prices are not cheap if that's your impression. The Bangkok infrastructure is good and very modern but still offers that old historic feel in parts which I like. There is very good street food too.

Be carefull. Everyone everywhere try to cheat on tourists. Definitely dont go with tuc tuc, but instead use grab. And dont trust people on the streets in blue shirts selling tours or telling things about other touristical objects. Boat tour is nothing and the river is very dirty. China town is nice place for shopping.

It’s all interesting… like travelling to another planet. Many people speak enough English to assist you and are happy to do so… even complete strangers. Google mapping makes getting around a breeze if you need it. It’s an assault on the senses but you can find tranquility if you desire it.

I spent three days in Bangkok on the way back home from Indonesia. It was my third visit but I still haven't seen everything I'm interested in. This time I visited amulet market, Grand Palace, Siam Museum, rooftop bar at SO hotel, Wat Paknam and Big Budha temple, Klong Bang Luang Floating Market, Arun Riverside rooftop restaurant, ICONSIAM mall and viewing terrace and Meridian Chaopraya river Cruise. Tip: I was able to hire a small boat trip from Wat Paknam to Bang Luang market only for 500 THB. Just ask passers-by.

The temperature was hot but expected with rain for a while mostly at night but it is the rainy season and anyway the rain clears and because of the heat the place dries up quickly. The location I stayed at was just adequate but cheap and I only got what I paid for. The people are so polite and helpful and always seem to be in good form and smiling a lot. Most of the street signs are in English as well as thai but if you loose your way there is almost always someone in a shop or even on the street who will gladly help you with directions in fair English. I love Bangkok. The ladies are so petite and beautiful

I was here for an Open House for the new LDS Temple in Krungthep (Bangkok). We were also having a reunion for anyone who was ever a Missionary here in Thailand. This location was a city block away from the reunion site and a block and a half away from the new Temple. Easy access to the Airport Link train and the subway station that connects to the fantastic public transit system in Krungthep. I chose this place for that reason, but the serviced apartment we were in had more than any Hotel we’ve ever stayed at in Krungthep

After straying at numerous hotels in Bangkok and Thailand in general, this is by far one of the best. The staff are amazing - friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are very modern with super comfy beds and decor. The location is amazing too, you are right next to the BTS and within walking distance of the malls and great places to eat. The facilities are great with a shared space for you to work, cook and a socialise. I'll definitely be coming back next time I am in Bangkok. Thanks for a great stay!

Staff members Nam, Moey, Fah, and Moethi made sure I had a pleasant stay. They carried my bags for me and arranged a taxi for me hassle free from the hotel to the bkk airport and for an amazing price. They were so helpful and kind! The breakfast buffet was very impressive and delicious, worth the money. The bed and pillows were the best I’ve had in Thailand. There’s a tub and walk in shower in the bathroom. The view from my room was the outstanding, could see the whole city and the street life below.

We stayed in the Berkeley in London and expected probably same and more for the Bangkok Berkeley, as all our hotels were already very nice. But this is plain standard hotel without Thai touch in fact. But nice area, very spacious room, clean, but to common. Breakfast is amazing what they offer, but is so crowdy and noisy to eat. Friendly staff. Amazing beautiful pool. large pool, so you can actually swim. (pity that pool is closed in the late evening, like in many hotels in THailand.)

Probably the cleanest and comfiest room we had in all our stays in Thailand!! The hosts spoke really good English and are very kind and helpful. We chose this hotel because of an early flight back, it's just 17' from the airport! Also the small garden made us feel like we're still in the Islands or maybe a small village up North. Definitely takes you away from Bangkok's traffic and noise An absolute Jem They also provide you with free coffee/ tea or chocolate which was a nice gesture

If I need a hotel again in Bang Kapi Bangkok, that’s were I will be staying from now on! I was in a car and once at the hotel there was nice covered safe parking for it which most hotels at that price do not! Best Value for Price I’ve seen in a LONG time!

Beautiful hotel, garden and outstanding service. I've been to 4 different five stars hotels in Thailand, by far this provided the best service, had the best staff. They did an incredible job, noticed every single detail. They do offer 15% off on most of things for kempinski membership, which looks ill be using especially if their services are top notch everywhere else, not just Bangkok. In short, PERFECT

Easy to get a cab to the airport from here. Staff were very eager to help. There is a canteen type food court in the retail area with well priced food beneath the hotel - worth popping to.
