Krakow is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve visited by far. certainly the best in Poland. We visited Gdansk and Warsawa as well but Krakow was the best. the city is so beautiful it took my breath away. The food is exceptional and if you like music there is a Chopin concert every evening and also a Klezmer concert several times a week which was the best I’ve ever heard. I was in Krakow for 7 days, which was 2 days longer than I'd planned. (My flights changed.) There is plenty to do. I went to Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Mine as day trips. I think the easiest way to get to Auschwitz is on a tour from Krakow. I took an old cell phone and bought a "Polish" SIM card for it for 3 weeks. I was hoping the GPS would work better than it did, but I liked being able to use a phone when I wasn't connected to wifi.DianeUnited States - Scored 1010
Krakow is a fantastic destination.
Krakow is a fantastic destination. Its architecture is stunning, its full of history and has a vibrant cafe / restaurant / night life. Recommended places to eat include Starka, Kolanko No 6, and Czarna Kaczka, and if you like good beer and friendly service walk no further than T.E.A Time Brupub. If you like history Wawel Castle has plenty to offer and the Oscar Schindler Factory museum is a real goldmine - I could have stayed there for hours.

Trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mine was very disappointing as it was poorly managed by the guide and rushed. Don’t go with high expectations. Krakow definitely worth 3-4 days
