Fly directly to Edmonton International Airport, 26km south of the city centre. Domestic travellers can also drive or take a train. From Vancouver, it's approximately 1,200km (12 hours by car, 27 hours by train). No direct water transport available. Transfers may be required.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Edmonton International Airport. It's approximately 26 kilometres from downtown Edmonton, offering numerous direct flights and efficient transport links to the city.
Edmonton, Canada, offers a variety of public transport options. The Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) provides buses and light rail transit (LRT). You can also use taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber. Cycling is popular in warmer months, with numerous bike lanes and paths. Walking is feasible in central areas. For longer distances, consider renting a car.
Be careful of what areas you go to. Some are rougher than others. Lots of fun sites and attractions, but know your route and keep your guard up. Most of the walking trails we have done have been exciting, but again, during the day.

I showed up for my reservation, waited in queue and my turn to checkin came, the front desk woman asked if "I WAS DELIVERY GUY (OR DELIVERING SOMETHING)" basically, she did not think a black man was here to stay in hotel, VERY RACIST !
after booking and confirming my booking (booking.com) and calling hotel to confirm reservation. The hotel refused to accept Visa debit payment, at 10:30 PM, I had to call around and find another place to stay. Already my experience was worse enough even if they did accept my reservation I wouldn't have stayed.

Edmonton is a great city!
Edmonton is a great city! Super affordable with lots of things to do, but you have to plan the time that you come to catch the right events.
People are friendly here, you just have to be aware of yourself as you travel as there are some homeless people downtown - they don't bother you, but its just means you should stay on main streets and you'll be fine.

We live in Calgary so we often take three to five mini holidays. We come up so hubby can gamble and I can do whatever I want or don’t want to do.
We take in local markets, drive around exploring, go to west Edmonton mall, just do whatever.

I was there for a family emergency so it was as long as it needed to be. I used to live in Edmonton and although I still have many friends and family there, it isn't my home anymore. The city has changed a lot. The public transit is miserable and really expensive for what is there. The city is super dirty and the parks that are still there, are really not well maintained. I used to work at the Legislature and was able to attend there to meet some old friends but it just felt wrong. I think Edmonton is a shadow of what it used to be. Too bad. Would I recommend it as a travel destination? Well maybe WEM but otherwise I can't imagine why anyone would go as a travel destination. Just another city with nothing really special to offer. I do still recommend going to Japanese Village for dinner however. Still the same show and good food.
I love the fact that they keep breakfast going until 930. Too many hotels close breakfast too early to take advantage of it. I love the balcony rooms. I have asthma and sleep apnea and brief periods of fresh air make a big difference especially in the winter. The location is fantastic right downtown and the staff are very helpful.
I didn’t go for breakfast the rest was excellent Everything was organized. Clean room has more space extra charges for our phone. It was excellent. Actually I book every year Comfort Inn I like the law question and area. Cost for everything for West Edmonton Mall, four downtown for everything.
Hotel staff was amazing! Super kind and great customer service! Was an amazing experience. I would definitely highly recommend this hotel because of how friendly the staff was and the pool was average size but with a big hot tub. Kid friendly. Close to the west Edmonton mall.
The property was closed to West Edmonton Mall where we wanted to shop. Additionally, there was a complimentary breakfast made by the host, Diana. It was a tasty breakfast. The price was affordable and there was parking available.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was at the south end of Edmonton and the hotel was close to highway to go into Edmonton and to leave to go home after my stay. Only 5 minutes from stores and restaurants.
The location is top notch, you're right on Whyte Ave and able to enjoy all the amenities that provides. It's a quick trip to downtown as well as easy access to the West Edmonton Mall. The location is amazing.
I like the mist the hot tub and even though I called to get my room cleaned after 11 am they still sent a maid over. To me that’s going the extra mile.
I also liked being so close to the West Edmonton Mall
Property offers breakfast in adjacent hotel with additional charges. It is connected to the property. Hotel is at walkable distance from Walmart and bulkbarn. Few minutes drive to West Edmonton mall.
Room, breakfast are pretty pleasant. Location is awesome. Very close to south common Edmonton where there're a bunch of good restaurants and super market so you have great access to various choices.
Amazing!
So far the best hotel that we had stayed in Canada. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfast ( covid season). Also it is close to many nice spots on Edmonton downtown.
I love the fact that they gave you a coupon for the liquor store that there was a lounge and restaurant right by and a gas station convenience close to west Edmonton mall
