Excellent job HI! We went for my daughter's graduation from NMU. The staff set up a table with sparkling wine and awesome cookies!

Only stayed one night on my way to Duluth. The fact that Hudson's grill just across the parking lot with live music, 3$ margaritas, excellent food at a reasonable price. I used GPS to get there, so it was pretty easy to find.

Eat at the Dry Dock when you are in the area. Great breakfast. Specialty pizza tasty. Take out available.
Also try Nang's Rice Paddy. Take out and cash only. Cheese cheese wontons crisp, freshy made. Orange chicken and moo goo gia pan (sp?) also great.
Free museums (art and heritage) at the University. Indoor walking trail at the Superior Dome, also on the university campus.

We were only there 2 nights this time, but were able to visit some of our favorite places. Vierling & Lagniappe for dinner, Black Rocks & Ore Dock breweries for awesome brews & live music, hike to Top of the World with friends, shopping at Getz's. So many things to do, so little time!

The staff at the Ramada of Marquette were awesome.
The staff at the Ramada of Marquette were awesome. The rooms were clean. The facilities were in great working order. The price of a room is very competitive if not better than the surrounding hotels/inns. Best part, the Ramada sits right in the middle of downtown Marquette. You're in walking distance to everything. I will be staying there again next year October 2024.

I enjoy Marquette. It has much to offer a traveler.
I enjoy Marquette. It has much to offer a traveler.
My issue was the cost of my room vs the reason for my trip. When you travel just to check someone’s health paying $460. 00 for two nights for a senior is a bit excessive.

Third Street Bagel was amazing!
Third Street Bagel was amazing! Also, Jilbert's Ice Cream is a must-have! Would loved to have spent some time along the lake or wandering the parks, but Marquette was just a one-night stop-over on the way to our final destination.
Great property! Beautiful historic hotel, in an excellent location. I’m not sure why the other reviews say “close to downtown“, I would definitely say it’s right in downtown. Probably the best location you’ll get in Marquette.
Staff is super friendly and helpful, just everything about this property is great. By the way, The rooms have a fridge and a microwave. I’m not sure why I couldn’t find that info in the posting but there are those things in the rooms. Mine had it at least.
Overall I highly recommend staying here!
The staff was very pleasant and personable. The room was very nice and clean and pet-friendly. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail is right behind this hotel so we were able to take our dog out and utilized the trail ourselves. And the downtown area is within walking distance. We had a very nice stay!
We liked the location to the bike trail, Marquette Mountain, Lake Superior, and the restaurants in Marquette and Harvey. The coffee was very good in the hotel office, but it could have been available a little earlier in the morning. I would definitely stay again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and well enough kept. Nothing really special, but we weren't looking for special this time, so yes, this hotel did eveythig it was supposed to for us! It was just a quick one night stay
Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The beds were a little firmer than we like, but not uncomfortable. Rooms are exactly as pictured! Staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. If we stay in Marquette again, we will use this hotel.
The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was great. The hotel had nice closets/storage for all the things we hauled in as well. I especially liked the breakfast area which was beautiful and picturesque
We received an unexpected $40 voucher. Breakfast was amazing and restaurant was easy to find.
I also liked the hotel’s consideration of the environment by not supplying one time use shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Property was older but very well maintained and clean. Quiet and breakfast was adequate for a value friendly hotel. Great value compared to other hotels in the Marquette area.
The location couldn't be better for downtown Marquette! Situated right on the main drag, you can walk to all the restaurants and stores, with the annual dogsled races starting right in front of the hotel
