People fighting and swearing in other rooms. A couple banging on the door of another patron threatening them. Multiple people hanging around parking lot smoking. Staff confused yet did rush to switch and clean a new room once they determined they gave away my original room.

So glad we decided to stay here instead of in Boston or Salem, MA. We took a chance thinking it was convenient for us for where we planned to go - and we were happy with it. Salem NH is a cute town with all the amenities a town would need and the charm of slower lifestyle. It's such a good location to base out of . We will stay here again on the next trip to New England.

We arrived at our room at midnight only to realize it had no heat, the room was freezing. When we called the front desk the girl told us she didn't know how to work the heat, and that maintenance wouldn't be in until 9am. We asked for extra blankets and were told she wasn't allowed to give out extra blankets. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep at all, nor did we enjoy our stay, and we will never stay at another Red Rood Inn again.MistyUnited States of America - 8.0Scored 8.0
