Place in itself is very beautiful with lush green mountains...
Place in itself is very beautiful with lush green mountains and narmada river and serene surroundings. Incessant rains during my visit made it look even more beautiful. The statue also looks marvelous and it's amazing how the structure has been built. Viewing gallery gives good view but it gets very restricted. Facilities inside the sou campus are also pretty good. Coming to the downsides - things are in general fairly expensive. You are not allowed to go to most places by your own vehicle. Private vehicles need to be parked in parking lots which are pretty far from main attractions and govt buses or autos need to be taken. The Statue of Unity is amazing though the toilets are not up to Western standards... too wet and smelly. Jungle safari excellent too. Other attractions good too. However, everything too expensive...transport, 2000 rupees per day for auto, express entry 1000 rupees.
