So cozy! Amazing amenities! Amazing location! Felt super safe the whole time, especially leaving my car parked nearby. Also close to public transit, easy to get through the city. Was so great to be able to cook meals when we didn’t want to go out. Owner was incredibly kind and easy to talk to. Overall, lovely place to stay, highly recommend!

We were very happy at this hotel. Super helpful front desk and bell staff -- very welcoming. The room was a generous size, and everything seemed updated. The room finishings and amenities were nice; it's not a high-end sort of place, but it felt high-end-adjacent -- they're trying hard. The bed and bedding were COMFORTABLE. The buffet breakfast was REALLY GOOD. No, they haven't found a way to make chafing-dish-eggs into something delectable, but the eggs were still good, plus they offered a veggie frittata that we haven't seen elsewhere. The hotel has reserved a big corner of the ground floor with huge windows for the breakfast and bar area. The space is bright and airy for an evening drink or for breakfast. The hotel's location is fine. You won't feel like you're in tourist ground zero -- the hot spots aren't far, but they aren't right where the hotel is, either. Fisherman's Wharf, for example, is a little over a mile away, but we walked it (mostly downhill), and we're both north of 60. You can also pick up the cable car on California Street a little over a block away.
