I believe India's fourth largest populous city, so it's huge. Liked the Tuk Tuk rides in crazy city traffic. The museums were good plus amazing Hindu temples. The general vibe of a large Indian city. Felt always safe.

Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended.
Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended. Malls especially amba is my all time favourite. Had food from mainly vegetarian restaurants. I would avoid taking taxi next time as public transport is still perfect in chennai. Getting around in taxi and auto is faster in this city. You can take a walk even in the night as people are respectful towards fellow human beings.

Beautiful place and nice people, though it was said, they only talk in Tamil, I found it incorrect coming from North India, they helped, in trains, taxi, Ola etc. Nice food. Good beaches, very good traveling measures, nice places around Chennai too.
Only it was hot for me...

Chennai is a surprisingly modern city in that its facilities and modes of transport are smooth and seamless. The metro is very convenient. The residents of Chennai, especially at their professions, have a pleasant professionalism and competence. While Chennai is warm, it isn't uncomfortably so.

Chennai is a huge, noisy, dirty city with horrendous traffic and very few tourist attractions. We only stayed there for a night at each end of our trip as we flew into and out of Chennai airport. I wouldn't bother spending any more time there than is necessary for transit to be honest.

Shopping in Chennai is good, but due the on going metro phase 2 works the city is conjusted with hravy traffic. As the city itself is connected with the sea the climate particularly now is very hot and humid
Staying at the Taj Connemara was a delightful experience. The hotel beautifully combines vintage style with modern amenities, creating a charming and elegant ambiance. The food was exquisite, and everything was spotlessly clean. However, what truly set this stay apart was the exceptional staff. From the front desk to the restaurant, room service, and bar, every team member was welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend the Taj Connemara to anyone traveling to Chennai. Thank you for the wonderful stay! ❤️
Property was wonderful and staff were amazing in treating us. Specially the staff at Front desk, at restaurant and special thanks to Gym Chandru anna where I had some great interactions. I also liked the electric car charging facility in the property. There were 4 chargers 2- 7KW and 2-30KW.Property was ideally located near to ECR and other city areas.
Here is the feedback from my daughter Advika (7 yr old):
- She liked the swimming pool
- She liked the Christmas decorations
- She liked the room and chocolates given in the room
The ambience, water based Rajasthani leisure stay which included the longest pool with water fall and private clean seafront with perfect landscaped lush garden was awesome . Rahul at the reception was completely with us in getting the right room of choice , our anniversary celebration and mellowed us down from the hectic city life !
The housekeeping was perfect , food tasty and the evening complimentary high tea with Rajasthani folklore was the best ..
Kaldan is the in thing on ECR...
Be there !
The hospitality at Leela palace Chennai is excellent. Right from the welcome, until we checked outback, everything was done to perfection and with at most care. Aman kumar was my butler and he went above and beyond to take great care of us. He was constantly checking with us on WhatsApp to help us with our needs. Whenever I am staying in Chennai, leela palace will be my go to place. I have never been so impressed with the hospitality of a hotel. Again, Aman is truly incredible in hosting guests.
Though it's in prime location, the hotel resides in a heritage building. It's gives a peaceful time. It has direct buses to central railway station. The chennai metro(Estate) shop is in walk-able distance. It's possible to have a early morning walk in city's busiest mount road in silence. The 32B series city buses to Vivekananda House is a terminal stop & marina beach starts there. If you have a evening walk in the main road, plenty of non-veg restaurants available to every budget.
This property was beautiful - located in a residential part of Chennai, it was clean, modern with such friendly staff. There is a small pool and lounge area on the terrace and the rooms are just perfectly sized! I loved the decor of the hotel the most as well as how clean it was kept!
It was such a perfect stay for my busy week in Chennai and I got the best sleep there! Will definitely book again for my next trips.
I needed to be near central station, Fort St George and CSK stadium. The hotel was great for all three. Used the metro at Chennai Park Town to get to anywhere I needed to go. Marina Beach, Santom Basilica and Leela Palace Hotel.
I’m a no frills traveller and this is a no frills hotel. A perfect match. More activity out on the street in one minute than in a day in most European cities!
I went to chennai for my husband's operation, the hotel stuff and ambience made my stay in chennai comfortable and relaxing. The stuffs are really nice, if you are looking for a good and clean hotel in budget, I would suggest to stay there. If I ever get a chance to go to chennai I am going to stay there definitely.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the staff members were amazing and really hospitable. The food was really good and the laundry service was great.
The room was cleaned very well on daily basis and the facilities at the property were good.
Will definitely stay at this hotel when in Chennai again.

Arriving in Chennai, tired after an overnight flight, we were originally booked into a different hotel from this one. Being unhappy with the previous accommodation, we left and booked into Fortel and were relieved to experience comfort and excellent service from the Fortel staff.
Very cleaned and luxurious hotel in Chennai. The staffs are very nice and smiled always. Rooms are good size. There is no complaint in anything while I was in the hotel with my wife. Easy access to everywhere in the city from this hotel. Superb.
Trident Chennai is where hotel industry folk should send their management, to see what hospitality is. They are a simple hotel with normal amenities, but their human quotient is through the roof. It is a joy to stay there every time.
I don’t know whether such a Hotel exists. No boards around the location shown on Google. The cell phone number given was not working. In effect I was stranded for about an hour around 11 PM in Chennai without a room
Excellent location. Close to shopping, restaurants and various places within Chennai. Felt pretty safe in the hotel since I travelled alone. Staff were very helpful and took care of me like family when needed.
Excellent hotel location in t.nagar Chennai proximity to grand malls for shopping and gold for shopping and gold jewellery stores it adds too for nearby walking fascinating temple
