We booked a guide that we recommend. She took us on an interesting tour about war history in the area, especially the Salpa line. The relationship to Russia and Germany are complicated and interesting. She also showed us a pretty rapid and provided a nice picknick with Finnish snacks. It's been a long time since my previous visit.
It's been a long time since my previous visit. Excellent pizza at 'Kotipizza' franchise! And a lovely lunch at Ravintola Talonpöytä. But all the shops and 'outlets' were overpriced and the shops overall were a big dissappointment. Better to concentrate on food and nature!Guest review byheliBelgium

It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and has all necessary amenities and more. There is also a reserved car parking spot in the apartment. Julia was a helpful and responsive host. The location is very good, very less light pollution, perfect for star gazing and auroras. It is also easy to get to Oulanka National Park.
