CanadaVery clean and quiet with well-equipped rooms, comfortable bed and great views from our balcony overlooking the Mekong. The food at the restaurant was good and the hosts were very helpful. There are free bicycles for guests or you can rent scooters and motorcycles.

LaosVery good boutique hotel at Don Daeng island with its own transport from and to main land. Perfect location to enjoy the sunset on the south of Laos. The restaurant in the hotel offers good variety of dishes and the chef is very flexionad would make an effort to please your needs if any customization required. We stayed in the Ban Lao suit, a traditional house Lao style room, very comfy and well distributed. The bar offers extensive quantity of drinks and well prepared. There are bikes available for customer at free cost. All these good things are only improved by the personalized and charm treatment from the staff.

I was in Champassak during the Wat Phou Festival which was...
I was in Champassak during the Wat Phou Festival which was great and interesting and then returned for one night after being in the 4000 Islands before heading north. The Temple are marvellous and would like to see it without all the tourists and festival goers but I enjoyed the festival particularly the opening and the Alms Ceremony for the monks. We went down the Wat Oum Tomo by a small private boat - a 2 hour trip each way around the island, but it was well worth it. Champassak is peaceful and encourages relaxation although I found bicycling in the rice paddies gave me insight into country life. My most vivid memory is sitting by the Mekong and watching the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen over a river that was as still as glass.Guest review byJanineAustralia - 6.0

The roads in Champasak are very bad with massive pot holes, I recommend to hire a 4wd. Pakse has lots of markets to look at and there are some beautiful waterfall to look at just 1-2 hours drive. The Mekong river is amazing to look at also. I highly recommend going to the Vat Phou.Guest review byHardisty

It’s a very friendly place, and all team members are in the Residence to assist you if needed. They try to do their best always. The kindness of local people and the foreign Chef is highly appreciated. Bedrooms are comfortable, extremely clean and well-maintained; restaurant and rooms are decorated in nice way. The sala along the Mekong offers you the opportunity to enjoy the calm of the area and the relaxing view of the scenery. The food is very good also and gives you a taste of happiness. The Mekong view, the sunsets, the gardens magical. However, equally wonderful was the fabulous Aum, who greeted us and helped organise our activities in Champasak. Her English was fabulous and she was so proactive, smart and hospitable! She gave us a bicycle torch in the evening, organised our bicycles on the boat to cycle to Wat Phu for the most perfect day of our holiday.
