We loved our stay here! It’s like a mix of a hostel and a ryokan. The host was so helpful, ensuring we had the right plan using the buses to get where we needed to go. It is the perfect location, too. I would absolutely stay here again.

The kindness and thoughtfulness of the hosts. The cleanliness of spacious rooms. The Bento boxes provided by our hosts. The beautiful path to arrive (Nakasendo trail), and the location of the house.

Overall quite a good location for Nakasendo trail from Magome/Tsumago, if you have a car (we went to Magome and took a bus across to Tsumago and then went back)

Wow! What an amazing place! We reserved a night at MOUNTAinn Nagiso at the end of our walk along the Nakasendo from Magome to Tsumago. We left wishing that we had reserved more than just one night. We liked the large kitchen table where we could sit as a family and eat, as well as the open areas on the first floor and second floor to sit outside and enjoy the mountains and river views. Every room was clean and beautifully decorated. I would definitely go back again.

The lounge area was spacious, air-conditioned and well restored to allow a gathering place for my party to hangout and debrief the days activities.
Sitting behind a cafe was fantastic allowing for seamless access and luggage hold, and extra bathrooms if needed
