Over-all it was great.
Over-all it was great. We spent 7 days on Tahiti, plus a half-day excursion on Moorea. 5 days on Tahiti would probably be enough. Next time we will visit a couple of others islands for a few days. Good food and shopping in Papeete.Guest review byMurphyUnited States - 6.0

Very hard to locate the actual apartment as there are no signs and the name appears to be wrong. Lucky for us to find a lovely generous occupant who helped us into our studio apartment. Fair walk to the shops due to the property being so high up the hill but the views from our balcony was fabulous. The swimming pool was a very big plus.Guest review byTuulaAustralia - 4.0

The room had a nice view & the tv had netflix but it was noisy with the bar playing music all night. If you have any food intolerances don't go here, they don't cater for it at all & aren't prepared to make anything that isn't on the menu. The jet ski's are constantly whizzing past just outside the lagoon so swimming in the sea is dangerous & they have resident Cockerell's in the property that call constantly from dawn to dusk. The nearest supermarket is 1.5 miles away & you have to walk at the side of a very busy duel carriageway & breathe in the fumes. The reception & bar staff are lovely but the catering staff are unhelpful & unpleasant apart from the chef.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

If you rent a car, there are lots of traffic circles and they drive fast! Ate at food trucks which were really good and good price. Walked to a little corner store which provided enough to get us through the first day. Careful of the dogs running wild in the streets. Seem friendly enough, but did hear of a person getting bitten by one. Would not want to walk in the dark in that area. Hotel seemed safe at night. Rented a vehicle and drove the entire island of Tahiti Anui and Tahiti Iti. High recommend driving the entire island. Lots to see and do!Guest review byHeidiCanada - 10.0
Amazing! We cooked our on food.
Amazing! We cooked our on food. The Villa was great my kids had their own room, blast music, no neighbors, walked the mountain. Thing I didn’t like not air on the mountain as far as breeze none even with the all the windows open we had to call the owner to get fans for air. They were accommodating to bring us fans. Other than that perfect! Will go back to stay at the same Villa hands down.Guest review byTaraUnited States - 10.0
I liked the area because it was away from the main city.
I liked the area because it was away from the main city. The locals are very friendly. Just make sure you have transportation. I would recommend renting a car. Although we rented a car from the airport, there is a car rental place near the lodge. It may be cheaper, as airport rentals tend to be higher.Guest review byAmberUnited States - 6.0

Spending a day or two there would have been enough, there was obvious poverty, with multiple homeless people. Not what I expected at all. I hired a car to visit the sites, but when I was driving around, everything looked closed, or uninviting. As a solo tourist, this wasn't the best place to visit. If I had known better, I would have book a night & visited the different islands.Guest review byalisonNew Zealand - 8.0

When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete for proximity to the ferry terminal (we were headed to Moorea next day). Flying back from another island in FP a few weeks later, we stayed in Faaa since we would be flying back to the States the next day. Now we know, we'd stay in Faaa on both ends and taxi to the ferry terminal if we were planning to go to Moorea next.Guest review bySkiUnited States - 2.0
We couldn't sleep due to 95 degree temperature in unit.
We couldn't sleep due to 95 degree temperature in unit. We were too exhausted to do anything. Not easy to get around as taxis are booked up in advance. Unit is in gated community so taxis can't get in.Guest review byStanleyUnited States - 10.0
The people are what make it so good.
The people are what make it so good. Very polite people who appear to be honest and kind. The shopping mall across the road from the Hilton was a wonderful place with a food hall and a good supermarket. We enjoyed a day trip to Moorea and a taxi trip around that island. Also the 5-hour Tahiti group trip and the boat trip. I did not do any snorkelling as I do not swim and I thought perhaps an activity in knee-high water could have been included in the boat trip. The Museum of the Islands was a good activity.Guest review byRev Leah BonifaceNew Zealand
