The bed is great. The pillows and sheets are of great quality and feel nice/comfortable. Enjoyable terrace. It's located close to a supermarket, a beach (not great though), a bar, restaurants, and bus station. The bathroom is really small but the shower space is comfortable. Fridge OK but small. 3 European adapters + 1 European outlet!

I would highly recommend this resort as one can find kindness and warm welcome from the Hotel Director to the Front Office Desk Staff, including Jerry and his nice Event staff, Paynee with the Restaurant & Bars personnel and Housekeeping staff. I like also the fact that the Staff in general listen to Customers feedback to improve our stay and I did extend my stay.

My wife and I are both hoteliers, so we naturally pay attention to details when we stay at a property. We chose Manisa Hotel for a two-night stay to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and unwind after a stressful period. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. From the start, we encountered several issues: a dead cockroach in the bathroom, a non-functional phone, and a sink tap that came loose in my hand. Our so-called balcony was just a concrete space with two old plastic chairs and a sunbed without a mattress—not exactly a comfortable spot to relax. Service was inconsistent. There was no bartender at the pool when we wanted to order drinks, and despite a confirmed request for a complimentary cake for our anniversary dinner, it was not delivered on the first night as planned. However, the cake was eventually brought to us during our second dinner, which we appreciated. That being said, I must highlight Miss Manuela at the reception desk. From what I observed, she is the one truly holding the hotel service together. I am not sure of her exact position, but in my opinion, she deserves a role such as Operations Manager. Her professionalism and dedication stood out, and she went above and beyond to assist us. The staff tried their very best to assist despite the hotel conditions not being in great shape. Overall, the property has potential, but it needs better maintenance and attention to detail. As hoteliers, we understand the challenges of the industry, but we also know that guest experience is key. With the right improvements, this place could offer a much better stay.     We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it...

    We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.

    lovely shopping complexes, boutiques, restaurants, and supermarket if you are self catering. Great place to tour around, for a heli-copter ride in the south to see the underwater waterfall, and go to the Ebony Forest

    The Riviere Noire area is quite busy and urbanised so it isn't a great location if you want to "get away from it all". However, it has some fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars along with useful shops Bed and breakfast hotel tariffs are a great option since you sample superb Mauritian cuisine away from the hotel. It is also a great location for visiting the Black River Gorge. The beach is OK but the stunning beaches at Le Morne and Flic en Flac are each a 15 minute drive away. Bonne Chute restaurant is excellent Also highly recommended - the cafes at Vanilla Village and Kumba

    Casa Del Dodo is perfect for a family holiday in Mauritius. The owners are incredibly flexible and super communicators, even allowing early check-in and late check out to work around flights. The house is huge and would easily suit 8 people, there are 4 big bedrooms, 3 with en suite with showers inside and outside. A well equipped kitchen as well as everything you need to cook outside. The living area is the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor and the pool is great for kids. Faultless stay! You will need a car to get around!

    Superb accommodation and gorgeous, varied, generous breakfasts. Room large, bed comfortable, constant hot water for shower and usefully quiet air-conditioning. With a car the new Albion Shopping Centre (only with a supermarket open when we visited) is a mere minute's drive away and the beach a few minutes further. To top it the hosts are wonderfully hospitable. Accommodating and offering assistance at all times. Hope to be back next time we're in Mauritius.

    When you first come to mariposa it looks like on of the houses in the neighborhood but when you come inside and go to the back of the hotel it’s like paradise! A small hotel feels like home and the staff is amazing! Specially, Sam, Tristan and Ivan who made my holiday the best holiday ! Thank you guys !!!!
