Wayside was a great place for our 4 night stay in Chiang Mai. The location within old town is close to the north gate down a quiet alley. Our room was big with plenty of space to spread out, large bathroom, and A/C is great. Having instant coffee, tea, water, and bananas available all day was a nice touch. Breakfast is very good and made to order, so be prepared to wait, especially when it is busy as she is preparing everything in a tiny kitchen!

Right from the beginning our hosts were amazing, considerate, and so welcoming. They were very helpful and even when there were problems with the washing machine they still helped make it possible for me to do two loads of laundry. Our room was large and spacious, very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom as well. Our guesthouse was within walking distance from the old town and we had a wonderful stay. I would love to return.

My husband and I loved Wannamas because it was small and cozy. The hotel feels like an old Thai home that is converted into a hotel and we loved the vibe of it. The aesthetics / interior was very nice and all the staffs were AMAZING. They were so kind and so accommodating during our stay. Breakfast was included in our pay and it amazing - again, it felt like home-cooked meal and not just a mediocre hotel continental breakfast. During the day, they use their front balcony area as a cafe so you can also purchase great food + drinks as well. The location was super convenient with many of the Wats (temples) in walking distance. At night time, my husband and I were able to order Grab Eats and they allowed us to eat in the lobby area with their utensils! It truly felt like a home-stay and I loved it :)
