I adored the city.
I adored the city. It is a nice mixture of historical sights and nature. The riverside and the island are wonderful and it is really nice to walk in the streets. I couldn't say that Jelgava has a lot of attractions (especially in winter during Covid, hehe), but for a short visit it was pleasant and entertaining. Ice sculptures served as a main attraction with general city illumination nicely adding to it, while a great steak served in PARKS restaurant did well to make for a complete evening.Guest review byLeonovaLatvia

The host assisted me with everything: laundry, hot water, and finding places to eat. Jelgava is a hidden gem. The town has a homemade candy factory and a pine cone factory. You should visit — this hostel is easy to locate near the railway station.
