Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river.
Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.Guest review byKKC68United States - 8.0
I liked to have riverview.
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats. I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person. Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.Guest review bySterkNetherlands

Our host collected us at Lotus supermarket which was useful as the accommodation is right out of the town of Chiang Khong. He waited while we collected anything we needed from the supermarket. Very quiet as off the main road, although some noise from the chickens behind the hotel! Owner spoke good English and gave us immigration forms for Laos which saved us a lot of time.
