Stayed in the old town which is a gem of a place, on a peninsula with lovely winding alleyways and churches. So well maintained and clean. No litter or graffiti and everything picture perfect! And there were good places to swim on small beaches below the bell towers. There was also a large sandy bay about 10 mins walk outside the old town near the Valamar hotel. We ate at the beachside bar on the seaside promenade in the old town ( at the bottom of the cliff), they did great veggie food and other options. We also loved the vegan restaurant on the main alley in the old town. We would love to return.Guest review byKatieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A cool place for people who want a sandy beach like in Italy + a safe sea without the urchins but at the same time a crystal clear waters so typical for Croatia with many possibilities of snorkeling once you use paddleboard and go a bit further from the coast (about 500m is sufficient) It was also a green island with many pine trees giving enough shade in many beaches + making great sceneries. Many possibilities for hiking, too.Guest review byVladislavCzech Republic - 8.0

We went with 2 children, it was calm and friendly, not so crowed. Supermarket, restaurant near to our aparment. We like the whole island, it is very good place for us. We can take a long walk near the sea, or go to Rab city to see the old town, we can go to hidden parts of the shore etc. We had been here for 3 years and plan to go there next year. :)Guest review byBudaiHungary - 8.0

Supetarska draga is a small but pleasant village that lives for and with tourists. The people are very friendly and helpful. Those who cannot find their piece of the beach in the town can rent numerous boats there and visit hidden corners and bays in the area. Nevertheless, the local marina also allows you to bring in and moor your own vessels. The beaches are mostly sandy with shallow water, but in some places also rocky. The water is most of the time calm and clean with many different fish and sea urchins. There is a convenient small grocery store and a fruit and vegetable market in the town, as well as at least three taverns where you can get everything from pizza to seafood. The town is mostly peaceful, except for the occasional fisherman's festival, which is a great way to enrich the already present Mediterranean atmosphere.Guest review byivoSlovenia - 10.0

Many beaches with lot of variety, also lot of bars and restaurants with great food and service. You can choose whatever you want. Everytime check reviews on Google Maps - they tell you lot of important info. Sea and water were extraordinary. Adriatic sea at its best.Guest review byFilipCzech Republic - 8.0

Palit is the neighbourhood in the centre of the city Rab but depending on the adress is the distance from the city- lower numbers are nearer the centre and higher numbers are further. The stone beaches are beautiful and a lot of shade. There is a great restaurant on the beach Banova villa.Guest review bySanjaCroatia - 10.0

We walked the cement walk and past the St. Bernadine of Siena in Kampor, Franciscan Monastery, Beautiful, peaceful olive trees grounds situated right on the Sea. It has Sacred Heart priests. Read the sign ....From the first catch a single tuna would be given to the Monastery , which would give 6 liters of wine to the Fishermen,,,now that's quite a trade after a Blessing! Beautiful Functioning Monastery, such a beautiful place. Rab is very clean, Beautiful Park, You must take the walk over to see the oaks ,, Thank you for sharing this beauty with us.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 10.0

Lopar is a very nice place for families with kids younger than 10 years, starting from baby age due to the shallow and warm water, the sandy beach and the lively but still calm village. I would recommend Lopar to stay for 1-2 weeks maximum, as you can travel around Rab island within this time and see all its attractions. Also recommend the Glass boat catamaran trip to nearby islands, renting a jetski is also fun, and you can visit many other beaches including Suha Punta for swimming.Guest review byMolnár GáborHungary - 10.0

Actually it was the only one we can pick up at the time of reservation, but it will be the first choice for the next year. beach in front is small but good enough for small kids and there are some chairs in front of the beach which you can use. Bar is just next to the hotel, ice cream was delicious. Hospitality of the owner is excellent and he arranged so much things for me. Really appreciated. Hope to visit again with longer days.Guest review byMakotoGermany - 10.0
Rab has a really special climate with a mild winter.
Rab has a really special climate with a mild winter. At the end of December, the daily temperature was up to 16-17 degrees with lots of sunshine and it did not even went below 6-8 degrees in the night. One can easily enjoy outdoor programs during the day. Although most of the restaurants and bars are closed in the winter, if you are up to a calm and peaceful getaway to a happy island it is just perfect for you. I highly advise to hike some of the rab archeoligical traces' routes which walks you through forests and seaside landscapes around the island.Guest review byKittyHungary
