Ganga Aarti at Haridwar is a once in a lifetime experience. The Rikshaw drivers are nice as well. Willing to wait while you finish what you want to . This place has my heart.
This place has my heart. The air is clean, the people are warm and nice and there is peace every where. It helps one connect with themselves simply by sitting at the Ganga ghat. The Ganga aartis are divine especially at Shatrughan Ghats. The vibe of the place is unmatched and unique. Although there are numerous cafes with mesmerizing views, I would say ditch those and go for the local food in small hotels or dhabas. Try the street food and a wide range of juices available almost everywhere. River rafting is a must. No matter how scary it appears, go for it..its an experience you cannot miss. If you can ride a scooter then your commute is sorted. If not then the local rickshaws known as Vikrams are available on private and sharing basis. You could also get dropped at near by locations on scooters for a mere 100rs or so. The marker near Laxman Jhula, Tapovan has great stuff. Triveni ghat has good options too. Do not miss the Triveni Cafe which offers a view you would not get anywhere else in Rishikesh. Bhootnath temple offers a panoramic view of the entire Rishikesh and you should not miss it.Guest review byAnonymous
