I recently stayed at Raajkutir for two days and had an incredibly comfortable and convenient experience. Nestled in the heart of Kolkata, the hotel offers a unique blend of colonial charm and modern amenities that made my stay both relaxing and culturally enriching. Special mention goes to Rohit, whose service was truly exceptional. His attentiveness and warmth added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience—hospitality at its finest! The only hiccup was the wait for room availability during check-in, as early check-in couldn't be accommodated. That said, once settled in, everything was smooth sailing. Overall, Raajkutir impressed with its ambiance, impeccable service, and thoughtful details. I’d gladly return, and recommend it to anyone seeking a serene escape with heritage vibes in Kolkata.

The breakfast was undoubtedly the most amazing spread. It was buffet style but they had a dedicated omelet chef. They also tried to make sure that we, as Americans, always had choices that made us feel at home. The inn is owned by Buddhist monks and the profit goes straight to schools, helping in the Tibetan refugee camp and other charitable works. This is a really special place with special people working there.

    I stayed one night at Burdwan Royal Heritage Palace in Darjeeling and it was magical. The room was huge, beautifully furnished, and full of old-world charm. The lush garden was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the view of the mountains was absolutely spectacular. A true royal heritage —peaceful, grand, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for a royal retreat!

    Quadraple rooms(room 306 booked online) where we were alloted was quite small - actually double-room. In Europe/USA they are single occupancy rooms. Room 301 was a proper quadraple room, facing sea - but rooms like these were not alloted to us. Staff, including restaurant very friendly, attentive. Food was excellent.

    Access roads are poorly maintained, or not maintained at all. Despite so many hotels and presumably tourists visiting. Additionally the whole place stinks of fish being dried..... at places terribly. Even one can smell when the breeze is blowing at the beach. Nowhere a beach resort stinks so much. There are better options available.

    Kolkata is very fantastic place and we see the glimps of our historical culture. It reminds us our past and culture is still here that we have lost in other cities. It's best city to make visit for our kids. In Delhi and other cities we couldn't find our rituals and customs but here I have seen those things ,we have somewhere forgotten but here everything came back to us .I like most Kolkata city if I get chance to visit my kids again I'll come. Meusium, Victoria palace,new market for shopping,South City mall,everywhere we can eat because good food is available in very cheap onething is that in Kolkata no one can sleep hungry. I'm very happy to write such comments for Kolkata.

    Staying at Blue bell has been the best stay for us in kalimpong. Hotel was fantastic, well equipped with required amenities, hospitality was marvelous. Specially the owner Mr. Soumya was awesome. I would Personally suggest all if you prefer calm, quite atmosphere and prefer to enjoy me time, this is the best place to stay. My family loved it. Food is extremely reasonable, on time service and very good taste.. scenic beauty is all around because of the balcony the rooms have.. entire kalimpong city view and if weather permits you get the view of kanchanjunga here... please do visit Blue bell.

    The staff and the management of FabHotels are just the worst...

    The staff and the management of FabHotels are just the worst. Each and every employee of this management is of different opinion. And there is no customer support. It's simply implied that the customer is never right and the staff is. The traveller is complaining about things and the management replies with that the staff was very accomodating and helpful whereas the people who travelled there to stay are just wrong about the things they complain. So, I would recommend never to book any hotel which is managed by FabHotels and especially in Kolkata.

    Good for visiting tarapith temple.but weather is too hot and humid-april,may,june.Shoud leave this month out-also saturday and sunday very crowded during amabsya-hard to give pujas.other temples likeishkon,jagannath temple are there ,very nearby.santiniketan is only two hours journey.altogether a good place for religious tourism,but from july to march-comfortable month to travel
