You have to learn French. Seriously. I repeat, you have to learn a lot more French than the survival French you think you are good with. They speak so fast. They understand your shitty French but you don't understand them. Townspeople are very nice people. Bring coins for bus. Transit App may not work. Cell signal is bad sometimes. Take a paper map for free at Bureau Tourisme. Taxi is shit. Read Google reviews. The boardwalk and bike path along the river are very pleasant. Some of the older restaurants in center town are very retro. Went to "La Maison du Spaghetti" and it was not only excellent food but it looked like we were sitting on the set of one of the Godfather movies. Nice visiting Pointe au Père and Bic National Park. For bike lovers a lot of bike trails. The weekend of 1st July the roses are in bloom, and you can smell them everywhere. The city has a lot of facilities cafe's restaurants you can choose from. Choose a restaurant on St-Germain street, downtown We took long walkways along the river. Beautiful sceneries! Loved the hotel and the staff. Downstairs is a wonderful restaurant. We had breakfast and supper there. The food was excellent.
