This is a beautiful hotel situated in an unbelievable location perched on a mtn edge. Everything is 1st class especially the staff. Thank you to Herr Kalt, Jana at dinner & Jana in housekeeping. I did the research don’t look any further this is where to stay in Stoos. Get the half board as the dinner is lovely!

P.S WE DID NOT LIKE OUR STAY AT ALL! IT WAS LIKE A PRISON CELL SIZE ROOM! Hopefully, whomever reads this understands why we stated all “BAD REVIEWS.” We were in our 28th anniversary my wife and me. When we arrived to the hotel, we were anxious of arriving hence we drove from Vienna Austria to the Hotel. When we arrive, we received a “PRISON CELL,” my wife and I can barely fit in the space for a Kids size. It was literally a 2 to 3 ft space where my wife and I could move. No bath towels provided hence the place is for the size of kids. So we go to the front desk and express our concerns and they said they could “DO NOTHING” for us. They didn't due anything to make their guests happy and comfortable! So the reason we are writing this is because we are going to proceed to get a FULL REFUND! We used booking.com for other 5 hotels for our 28th anniversary and we were SUPER HAPPY!

    Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps.

    Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. I am sure there are as nice hikes but less crowded ridge hikes in Switzerland. It was a reminder for us to never take travel tips from social media.

    The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding...

    The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. The view from the top of the mountain is even better than from the hotel, amenities include boat trips through the lake, a golf course on top of the mountain and a sky station next to the town.

    Staff were helpful and friendly.

    Staff were helpful and friendly. Thai restaurant - great food and service. Italian restaurant was average food, slow service because of under staffing and no fault of staff. Go carting was great fun with helpful staff. Enjoyed heated pool but really over crowded. Beautiful location. Apartment was good for our family. Kids had a great time.

    I love Einsiedeln,because it is such a lovely village with the Mountains and SIHLSEE. It has beautiful little shops, good restaurants and coffee places with their own roastery. The only problem is with Taxi cars: none available at the centralstation,when one arrives by train. How come?? My favourite place was the MONASTERY, walking around through KLOSTERWALD and the horses there.Another nice walk to SIHLSEE. There is MIGROS with affordable food to buy and their restaurant,which serves good meals. Good connections by train and bus. And the annual Christmas market infront of the monastery is just wonderful.

    It gives the real feeling of a Swiss village , the cleanliness, the bus services , they have a tourist centre to help, the lake itself is biggest attraction, local people are very friendly and helpful

    Very pretty, clean town , nearby lakes , boat trips, mountains for short or long hiking, cable cars, chairlifts, the steepest unique funicular in the world up mount Stoos with beautiful panoramas. Hölloch, a massive cave for exploring.

    It's mostly a ski-town, located in a steep valley with multiple gondolas leading up either the northern (to Illgau) or southern ridge (to Stoos) to nearby towns. For the adventurous, there are paths to hike up the cliffs on either side, or go below the surface at the Holloch cave. There are more relaxing trails in the canyon as well, like the Witz-wanderweg from Stoos to Muotathal. At the far end is a husky facility that hosts cute tours for dog-lovers.

    A wonderful 2 nights spent with a friend at this property enjoying nearby hikes in the beautiful scenery and a relaxing visit to the spa facilities. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.

    A quaite town in the mountains.

    A quaite town in the mountains. Beautiful, laid back with the most amazing ridge hike and gorgeous weather. Easy to walk, lots of hikes and scenery galore. Accomodations perfect and superfresh food and outstanding fresh salad bar.
