VIP stay. You can’t go wrong. Stefano and his dad go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing stay-from booking excursions for you to suggesting restaurants based on preferences and price points. You are minutes to the beach by food and the main center. Breakfast is on par and there is an elevator to help wjth luggage. (Rare in this area!)

Set on Ortigia Island overlooking the Ionian Sea, Algilà Ortigia Charme is right on the seafront. It features elegant, air-conditioned rooms equipped with antique furnishings from the 1700s.

Everything was beautiful! Rooms were gorgeous….clean and pristine. The staff was always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast was perfect. Ortigia is just gorgeous!

The staff was amazing. They were so friendly and nice. They helped me with anything I needed and provided recommendations. The location was great for me. It’s right next to the water and I was able to walk easily to the main square and other areas. This is an older property so you need to be aware of that. I wanted the old charme feel so I didn’t mind because it was just me and my room was clean. There is no elevator but I knew that in advance and the staff helped me to carry my bags. Even though I felt bad letting them. But if you have mobility issues then there is a lot of stairs. Otherwise I had a great stay here.

Location is absolutely excellent, not too central but everything is within walking distance. the only downside is the bar with very loud music especially on friday and saturday evening, it was impossible to fall asleep. the apartment itself is good enough, the room was quite large for my expectations, however you do hear every slam or certain noises of people using or moving things in the next room - nothing that one would not stand for a short stay though. staff are there in the morning but i could contact Sonia at any time of day and she kindly replied so I am sure that if i needed something she would have been of assistance. it was a bit annoying that we could not leave our luggages for most of the day on the day of our check out, having to pick them up at 11am because no staff would be available after that. the one thing that did bother me the most was the bathroom because the sink and BD did not have a hole plug, i kept fearing i would lose my jewlery and makeup down the drain. if there is anything they should fix, this should be it. the breakfast felt recycled and as though it had been going in and out for a couple of day so we preferred having something from a cafeteria outside. it would also be nice to have another mirror in the room because the only mirror available was in the bathroom. overall the place does need some love and brushing up but for the money we paid it was just right.

There are 4 apartments, located in the proximity of the cathedral, in a small courtyard. Ours was nice, with all the amenities required for a comfy stay. There is no luxury, just a straightforward place to spend one or few days.
