Everything was perfect from start to finish. The spa was amazing and very fresh. The hotel was very clean and you could tell it has just been built. Staff were professional. Our room was also upgraded one level, so that was a nice touch to our quick stay.

Everything about this accommodation was wonderful. The "Winter" apartment on the second floor was spacious, clean, well-equipped, quiet (we were the only guests staying there), and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

We’re huge fans of this hotel. Over the past year, we’ve stayed three times and have experienced every type of room they offer. For adventure lovers, it’s simply fantastic. This time, we came especially for river rafting and gravel biking to enjoy Kiruna’s summer. Compared to the winter season, the atmosphere was much quieter, with a completely different vibe. It almost feels like you have the entire hotel to yourself—which is incredible. When it comes to the rooms, if you’re mainly there for the tours, any option will do. But if you’ve never stayed in an ice room, it’s an absolute must. Since we had already tried both the Deluxe and Art Suites before, this time we opted for a warm room(kamoos hotel room) , which worked perfectly. Before we stayed in a kamoos deluxe warm room and comparing to that, only significant difference was the comfiness of the bed. Pillows and mattress could be better. Also there was no mini fridge. Again, since we were out all day long for tours, -except the mattress- those didnt matter to us. Breakfast, as always, was fantastic. They’ve even added vegan bread—kudos to the chef, it was excellent. The dinner menu was the same as in winter: pricey, but absolutely delicious. Staff is amazing as always, we seen some familiar faces from our previous stays. Mostly they are working seasonal i guess but all of them are sharing the same passion. Overall, it’s a wonderful place both in winter and summer, but in my opinion, the real highlight is the tours. They are the perfect way to discover the North, immerse yourself in the culture, and experience the wilderness. So far, every guide we’ve had has been outstanding. I believe if we join few more tours, they will convince us to move to Kiruna :)

Umeå is a hidden gem in northern Sweden, offering a unique blend of vibrant culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. My visit to Umeå left me thoroughly impressed with both the city and its people. The city itself is a harmonious mix of modernity and tradition. Umeå is known for its thriving arts scene, and it certainly lives up to its reputation as a European Capital of Culture. Nature lovers will find Umeå a paradise, with its close proximity to lush forests, serene rivers, and the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Bothnia. The city is designed with nature in mind, with plenty of parks and green spaces to explore. The Ume River, which runs through the city, provides picturesque views and is perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride. But what truly makes Umeå special are its people. The residents of Umeå are some of the friendliest and most welcoming individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Despite the city’s northern location, the warmth of its people is palpable. Whether asking for directions, recommendations, or just striking up a casual conversation, the locals are always eager to help with a genuine smile. There’s a strong sense of community in Umeå, and it’s easy to feel at home even if you’re just visiting.

Kiruna is the northernmost city in Sweden, located above the Arctic Circle in the heart of Swedish Lapland. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Kiruna offers a unique combination of wilderness, culture, and science. In winter, the city transforms into a magical wonderland, featuring snow-covered landscapes, the spectacular Northern Lights, and opportunities for dog sledding, snowmobiling, and visiting the renowned Ice Hotel in nearby Jukkasjärvi. In summer, the Midnight Sun shines for weeks, allowing endless outdoor adventures like hiking in the nearby Abisko National Park. Kiruna is also known for its fascinating history

    Clean and comfortable place.

Clean and comfortable place. Visited "Old town" now for first time and it was nice. Cafeterias were not open, but nice old houses and beautiful church really worth visiting. In Luleå shops are closing very early on Saturday and are closed on Sunday, it would be nice to do shopping longer. On Saturdays difficult to get table reservations to some restaurants, you might wan't to plan your dinner in advance and do booking before trip.

Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history.

Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history. A pretty town on the banks of a large river. The view across the river of the beautiful main church has been obscured by an ugly multi-story parking garage. Who thought up that damaging action? The town is currently in the grips of street optimization. The narrowing of the main East-West street, is questionable and will soon cause traffic congestion. The station is still in place, but no rail traffic goes there apart from goods !! The infrastructure around the railway and station needs to be optimized and take advantage of the existence of a rail link to the rest of Sweden and the outside World.

I have been here eleven times, which must show that I like it very much. I have been here summer and winter as well. I mostly hike to Lapporten and Trollsjoen. On the other hand, I am not a fan of Kungsleden, which for me is a motorway for pedestrians.

The lakeside location was idyllic We travelled to the accommodation on a short snowmobile ride through the forest. The northern lights were visible for two nights of our short stay. Jokkmokk is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lakes, rolling hills, forest. You sometimes pass reindeer on the roads. I was there to participate in a long ski race and everyone I met in Jokkmokk was keen to help.
