Osijek was once the second city in Croatia and still has evidence of that. The collection of Secessionist buildings on Europska Ave is outstanding on a European scale and it is a disgrace that this hasn't been recognised by the EU. The historic complete military township of Tvrda is also a must visit place. The surrounding Baranje area provides tastes of a country far different to Dalmatia which is what most visitors to Croatia only experience. The Kopacki Rit reserve is a great place for birdwatching including breeding White tailed Eagles and the nearby forest holds large numbers of wild boar.Guest review byAlexandraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A beautiful city and wonderful people.
A beautiful city and wonderful people. From monumental buildings to beautiful nature. On both the Osijek and Baranja sides, there are plenty of restaurants where you can eat deliciously. I definitely recommend a ferry ride and a walk across the Pedestrian Bridge.Guest review byAnaCroatia - 10.0

My hometown so bit biased but Osijek and Slavonia have lot to offer. Great fiery food, excellent wine, amazing cycling routes and nice scenery. Osijek is perfect for unspoiled city break. It has two small balconies and a fully equipped kitchen (except for the dishwasher, but we didn't mind). The rooms are big enough, and the living room is comfortable. The location is great with lots of parking nearby (some free, some that you need to pay, but it's not expensive).
