The citadelle is very interesting, with interactive guides to its history. The views from the top are superb. The main church (Collegiale Notre-Dame) is glorious: gorgeos stained glass and other decorations. The streets are pleasant to walk around (although I avoided the Grande Rue, as it was chockablock with traffic). Easy to find alternatives. The boat tour was good, as was the fort on the hill. The sax museum is okay, but will take all of 5-10 minutes to get round. Regrettably, I never got to the Leffe Mansion for the tour, but really wanted to. Dinant is a lovely town full of sights.

We spent just one day in Dinant and I loved it.
We spent just one day in Dinant and I loved it. The Citadelle is definitely worth a visit; I wasn't sure what to expect but it was fantastic! Plan for at least 2 hours there, longer if you linger and look at every viewpoint and every 'checkpoint' on the self-guided video tour. Definitely worth the entry fee and more.
