I have been around Thailand for many years and visited a lot of places but never petchaburi. I was most surprised in a good way. The food options are outstanding the pra nakorn Kiri temple and the mahathat temple are as good as you will see in Thailand and the locals are very friendly. I imagined petchaburi as some boring provincial town but it isn't. It's not a party town though so it's not for all tastes.Guest review byleslieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. We had our own little balcony with a nice view. We were given free water and fresh towels every day. The host was so welcoming and kind, we would definitely come back here. She organised Tuctucs for us and helped planning our onwards travels to Bangkok. When we wanted to rent a motorbike, she called someone that brought us one right to the doorstep. The room was clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works, the shower has hot water, soap and shampoo.
